ABC News' George Stephanopoulos Reports: Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin is a "skilled politician," but the country doesn't know much about her yet, said Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., in an interview that will air tomorrow exclusively on "This Week."
But Obama refused to say Palin is qualified to be president, and claimed that picking Palin brings Republican presidential nominee John McCain closer to President Bush.

McCain’s big mistake was saying that Obama was qualified to be President.

Well, they really are at a loss for words aren’t they? Maybe they should talk about issues so the American people can really see what they are made of. Zero, Nada, zilch.

I thought McCain was just a third term for Bush? Wasn't that the party line? How can adding a small town mayor from Alaska move McCain's ticket closer to Bush-Cheney?
Why, it almost seems like Obama is grasping at straws, and willing to say almost anything!

Arugula Boy (the pot) strikes a blow by calling Palin inexperienced (black).
This would be pathetic if it weren’t so darned funny. If this is the best Axelrod can come up with, he is really sucking wind . . . .

This clearly demonstrates that Zerobama cannot evaluate and underestimates his opponents. He IS NOT presidential material. He just can’t cut it. He would be a foreign policy disaster.

That’s great xcamel, but one would have to assume a great majority of democrats watched the Palin speech and I’m sure they did not. It might be over they’re “pay grade.”

Some of the comments on this thread, at ABC, are quite interesting. One of them said something about “trolls” on that site. I wonder what he means. Is he referring to conservatives, or Republicans? Does he assume that anyone to the right of Hillary Clinton is a troll on ABC.com?
Hmmm... looks like the MSM is even out of the closet to the libs...

He should have said that Obama is just as qualified to be President as any other Democrat.

Ahhh.. but they do suck up the MSM drool by the gallon... and it’s sooo much more delicious when someone has to explain it to them.
...And the smiles you get from other conservatives are worth it every time.

I have a feeling Biden, strangely enough, will be more gracious and respectful of Palin’s experience than Obama. Biden is overqualified, and can stand to be gracious. Obama was a non-presence in the Senate, as he had more important things to do- such as running for President.

I think the Obama meant to say that picking Palin brings presidential nominee John McCain closer to the Oval Office, not closer to Bush.

The facts that Obama (the libs’ so-called candidate for PRESIDENT) is spending all his time trying to tear down Sarah Palin (the Repub. VP candidate) — and their VP candidate (Biden) is practically missing in action — are indicators that they (Dems) are in deep, deep trouble. If the Dems truly believe that SP is unqualified and/or a bad choice, their most effective technique would have been to ignore her.... but now, they are giving Sarah more free publicity than the MSM ever intended her to have.
The fact that Sarah doesn’t bruise is obviously confounding the libs, as well. Never before have they encountered someone who was unaffected by their dastardly tricks.
I’m sure the libs have been huddling 24/7, trying to come up with a new strategery to neutralize SP4VP. They obviously aren’t succeeding!
