On June 26, the Stop War on Iran Campaign initiated an emergency call to action to oppose a war on Iran on the weekend of Aug. 2 and 3. A major march is being planned Aug. 2 in New York. Demonstrators will assemble at 12 noon in Times Square at 43rd Street and Broadway. Other places, inside the U.S. and worldwide, are organizing local actions.

There is a guy at work still sporting his “No War in Iraq”, “No blood for oil” and “Dissent is patriotic” signs in his office. I have been tempted to ask him how that was working for him but I didn’t want to have to explain myself to the folks in HR.

Visit a University Campus, the profs still proudly display their No Iraq War signs in their office windows. Then for too many of the profs symbolism counts far more than substance. I repeatedly tried to get one of my profs to debate me, in class, privately, by email all to no avail. He did not know what he was talking about and was afraid that a mere student would show him up. Too many liberal profs go into academia because they are gutless and the Ivory tower allows them to surround themselves with those who agree. Students who need a good grade wont ever challenge their lies and ignorance.

Your last missile test was a disaster: the whole world knows you photo-shopped that launch, and that some of your new missiles aren't new at all (hell some of them aren't even missiles--I think the one pic was a brown Crayola crayon.) Please, the only way you can avert a war with Israel and the United States is by proving you have a capable deterrent. You must show the world that you can accurately target and deliver a missile. I'll arrange a CBS News film crew to cover the touchdown of your ordnance at the corner of 43rd and Broadway at high noon on August 2nd. Precisely targeting this exact date and time are crucial to your credibility.

Please, don't let me down; this is the last chance for peace in our time.
