Barack Obama Knew That Rev. Wright Was A Racist I
7/2/2008 | Laissez-Faire Capitalist

Posted on 07/02/2008 12:27:32 PM PDT by Laissez-faire capitalist

This is the first in a long line of blogs that will show that Barack Obama knew that Rev. Wright was a racist, long before the You Tube video clips of Rev. Jeremiah Wright saying "white America, U.S. of KKKA" (among other things) surfaced.

Barack Obama, according to his book, "Dreams From My Father," said that at the very first service he attended at Trinity United Church of Christ, and the very first time he heard Rev. Jeremiah Wright preach from the pulpit, he heard the following words spoken by Rev. Jeremiah Wright:

Dreams From My Father, Page 293

'"... It is this world, a world where cruise ships throw away more food in a day than most residents of Port-a-Prince see in a year, where white folks' greed runs a world in need, apartheid in one hemisphere, apathy in another hemisphere ... That's the world! On which hope sits."

And so it went, a meditation on a fallen world. While the boys next to me doodled on their church bulletin, Reverend Wright spoke of Sharpesville and Hiroshima, the callousness of policy makers in the White House and in the State House ... "'

Barack Obama has the words "white folks' greed runs a world in need" in his book within quotation marks.

If a white politician had said "black folks... " and followed up 'folks' with something derogatory to describe black people, or something derogatory to describe their nature as people, there would be hell to pay since it would be considered a racist statement.

No difference in this. "White folks' greed," is a racist statement.

Barack Obama should have ran from that church as fast as he could. But rather, he joined the church. He knew what Rev. Jeremiah Wright was about, from the very first time he heard him preach from the pulpit.

Barack Obama has no excuses. And we need not take a meaningless trip into what Rev. Jeremiah Wright meant in that sermon. Some words and statements are just unacceptable, and this is an example of just that.

When Barack Obama says that he had no idea what Rev. Jeremiah Wright was all about and did not know what kind of man he would choose to be as his mentor and spiritual advisor was, it is a bald-faced lie on his part.

Well since Barack Obama knows that HE is a racist, it stands to reason he would know that Wright is a racist.

By the way, the headline should read “...Rev. Wright IS a Racist”, NOT “...WAS a Racist”.

Rev. Wright has NOT changed his spots.

Barack Obama knew that Rev. Wright was a racist, when he heard him utter those words “white folks greed...”

WAS is meant to show that AT THAT TIME in the first service he knew what he was all about.

This is important to show, because it shreds Barack Obama’s lie that he had no idea what Wright was all about or what kind of man he was when he chose him to be his mentor and spiritual advisor.

Yes, Barack Obama told a bunch of whoppers in his speech following Rev. Wright’s rant at the National Press Club.

Of course Obama is a racist- and a race baiter. He just fit righ in with Wright and his white hating/America hating ‘church’.
He told us long ago how he felt about the white race, but we were too dumb to pick up on it.

From ‘Dreams of My Father’,
“I CEASED TO ADVERISE MY MOTHER’S RACE AT THE AGE OF12 OR 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites”

From Dreams of My Father, “ I FOUND A SOLACE IN NURSING A PERVASIVE SENSE OF GRIEVANCE AND ANIMOSITY AGAINST MY MOTHER’S RACE”.

From ‘Dreams of my Father’, “The emotion between the races could never be pure..... the THE OTHER RACE (WHITE) WOULD ALWAYS REMAIN JUST THAT: MENACING, ALIEN AND APART”

From Dreams Of My Father, “never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn’t speak to my own. IT WAS INTO MY FATHER’S IMAGE , THE BLACK MAN, THE SON OF AFRICA, THAT I’D PACKED ALL THE ATTRIBUTES I SOUGHT IN MYSELF.

From Dreams Of My Father:
“THAT HATE HADN’T GONE AWAY,” he wrote, BLAMING WHITE PEOPLE,- SOME CRUEL, SOME IGNORANT, sometimes a single face, sometimes just a faceless image of a system claiming power over our lives.”

From Dreams Of My Father;
“There were enough of us on campus to constitute a tribe, and when it came to hanging out many of us chose to function like a tribe, staying close together, traveling in packs,” he wrote. “It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, TO SHOW YOUR LOYALTY TO THE BLACK MASSES, TO STRIKE OUT, and name names”

From Dreams Of My Father, “I had grown accustomed, everywhere, to SUSPICIONS BETWEEN THE RACES..”

Yes.

His Mein Kampf very clearly stated his beliefs.

If only they had listened... I mean, if only WE would listen.

Sorry about that, I think I was in a “time warp” there, for a few moments.

"Barack Obama Knew That Rev. Wright Was A Racist"

Did he also know he was a revolutionary communist? He only had two whole decades to figure it out.

You're welcome. Please feel free to link to the page and help get some of this not-too-well-known info out. The conservative media apparently won't tell their audiences very much about it. And the leftist media...(puke)

Actually, Mark Levin is just now starting to go into some detail about the communist groups and individuals around Obama. Before, he just called everyone a "Stalinist" and so most people probably didn't take him very seriously. Gotta have the EVIDENCE to make it convincing. And that is exactly what I have.

Impossible. As any black person will tell you only whites can be racist. Has something to do with holding all the power in society.

Barack Obama Knew That Rev. Wright Was A Racist

People like Wright, who deeply subscribe to Black Liberation Theology, are more Marxist than racist.

Obama's Church: Gospel of Hate
Kathy Shaidle, FrontPageMag.com
Monday, April 07, 2008

In March of 2007, FOX News host Sean Hannity had engaged Obama’s pastor in a heated interview about his Church’s teachings. For many viewers, the ensuing shouting match was their first exposure to "Black Liberation Theology"...

Like the pro-communist Liberation Theology that swept Central America in the 1980s and was repeatedly condemned by Pope John Paul II, Black Liberation Theology combines warmed-over 1960s vintage Marxism with carefully distorted biblical passages. However, in contrast to traditional Marxism, it emphasizes race rather than class. The Christian notion of "salvation" in the afterlife is superseded by "liberation" on earth, courtesy of the establishment of a socialist utopia.

Obama’s a racist as well. He describes how his embrace of Black identity morphed into anti-white hostility in his 1995 book “Dreams from My Father.” He is muting his racist impulses now, in order to win the presidency.

Let's just say Black Liberation Theology is BOTH racist and Marxist.

From Jeff Head's website...
One notable quote from [James] Cone describing his Black Liberation Theology is as follows:

"Black theology refuses to accept a God who is not identified totally with the goals of the black community. If God is not for us and against white people, then he is a murderer, and we had better kill him. The task of black theology is to kill Gods who do not belong to the black community ... Black theology will accept only the love of God which participates in the destruction of the white enemy. What we need is the divine love as expressed in Black Power, which is the power of black people to destroy their oppressors here and now by any means at their disposal. Unless God is participating in this holy activity, we must reject his love." - "Divine Racism: The Unacknowledged Threshold Issue for Black Theology", in African-American Religious Thought: An Anthology, by William R Jones, ed Cornel West and Eddie Glaube (Westminster John Knox Press).
http://www.jeffhead.com/blacklibtheology.htm

HANNITY: But Reverend Jeremiah Wright is not backing down and has not for years and in his strong stance on the teaching of black liberation theology is nothing new. He had the same things to say last spring when he appeared on "Hannity & Colmes:"

WRIGHT: If you're not going to talk about theology in context, if you're not going to talk about liberation theology that came out of the '60s, systematized black liberation theology that started with Jim Cone in 1968 and the writings of Cone and the writings of Dwight Hopkins and the writings of womynist theologians and Asian theologians and Hispanic theologians, then you can't talk about the black value system.

HANNITY: But I'm a — reverend

WRIGHT: Do you know liberation theology, sir?

Source: The Real Story Behind Rev. Wright's Controversial Black Liberation Theology Doctrine:
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,354158,00.html

From the New York Times, April 28, 2008
Reverend Wright at the National Press Club
"In the late 1960s, when Dr. James Cone's powerful books burst onto the scene, the term 'black liberation theology' began to be used. I do not in any way disagree with Dr. Cone, nor do I in any way diminish the inimitable and incomparable contributions that he has made and that he continues to make to the field of theology. Jim, incidentally, is a personal friend of mine."

Catholics for Marx
By Fr. Robert Sirico
FrontPageMagazine.com | Thursday, June 03, 2004

In the days when the Superpowers were locked in a Cold War, Latin America seethed with revolution, and millions lived behind an iron curtain, a group of theologians concocted a novel idea within the history of Christianity. They proposed to combine the teachings of Jesus with the teachings of Marx as a way of justifying violent revolution to overthrow the economics of capitalism.

The Gospels were re-rendered not as doctrine impacting on the human soul but rather as windows into the historical dialectic of class struggle. These "liberation theologians" saw every biblical criticism of the rich as a mandate to expropriate the expropriating owners of capital, and every expression of compassion for the poor as a call for an uprising by the proletarian class of peasants and workers.

“Only whites can be racist. Has something to do with holding all the power in society.”

You, as well as I, know that this canard is use to justify black-on-white racism in society. White-on-black racism exists, as does black-on-white.

Those that try to promote the canard that blacks cannot be racist try to use the macro model of group politics (whites as a group hold more power than blacks), therefore blacks as a whole or at the individual level cannot be racist.

Whites at the individual level can use racist words, just as blacks at the individual level can use racist words. We have only to look at Rev. Wright to see this. And no one can say that he doesn’t have any power.

A crowd of black people can hurl racist words at one white person. The reverse of this is true, too.

And on and on...

Need I go any further?

Nope.

Rev. Wright - given that he has a history of saying things like “white America...,” “White folks greed...,” etc, clearly wasn't speaking of apartheid South Africa when he said “white folks greed runs a world in need...”

Rev. Wright attacks whites as a whole. This is clear. he has a history of it.

When we take the case of Rev. Michael Pfleger, (whom Barack Obama in an interview with the Chicago-Sun Times in a 2004 column entitled “Obama: I Have A Deep Faith” said was a spiritual adviser of his), we can see that he attacks whites, and did so from the pulpit of Trinity United.

People like him are welcome at Trinity, but it would seem only if they exhibit a sufficient level of liberal white guilt.
