Professor Urges Firearms Industry Be Held Liable for Crimes

University professor George Nation, is advocating that manufacturers of guns be required to bear financial liability for the harm suffered by persons who have been injured by the criminals using their products. “It’s simple,” Nation said. “If we put the gun makers out of business we will largely put an end to crime.”

The professor brushed off arguments implying that his logic would hold food manufacturers liable for the ills of obesity. “If they think to dissuade me by such logic, they’re mistaken,” Nation said. “As far as I’m concerned, food manufacturers should be held liable for obesity. In an ideal world, people would receive the proper nutrition from a government-run dispensary. That’s next on my agenda.”

Every student this professor ever had that failed his course should have the right to sue him for failure in execution of his job and thereby causing them to fail.

His argument against manufacturers of guns has been overturned many times in the courts. Why is he stupid enough to even mention this again?

I wish there were a law that we could get rid of jerks such as he.

Logic is in such short supply...sold on the commodities market, it would be valued higher than Gold....

I burnt my arm checking on dinner in the oven the other day.

Does this mean I get to sue GE?

Reminds me of a conversation between a radio talk show host (for some reason I think it was Dennis Prager, but I may be wrong about that) and a caller:

HOST (after the caller had made a particularly idiotic point): "So, where did you go for your advanced degree?"

CALLER: "How did you know I have a doctorate?"

HOST: "I didn't. I just figured that anyone who believes something as preposterous as that must have learned it in graduate school somewhere."
