Dems Outraged over Attorney General’s Refusal to Prosecute Miers & Bolten
AZCONSERVATIVE ^ | 1 March 2008 | John Semmens

Posted on 03/04/2008 2:32:57 PM PST by John Semmens

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) expressed her rage at Attorney General Michael Mukasey’s refusal to prosecute White House Chief of Staff Josh Bolten and former presidential counsel Harriet Miers for their contempt of congress.

Mukasey observed that “these individuals’ contempt of congress is not a crime. If we consult recent polls, we find that the vast majority of Americans share this contempt. The fact is, Bolton and Miers are in-step with voters on this issue. Perhaps the Speaker should reevaluate her Party’s actions to ascertain why this is the case.”

Unmollified, Pelosi insisted that Bolton and Miers were guilty of “improper policy” and needed to be “made an example to deter others from committing similar crimes.”

"The decision to shelve the contempt process shows that the White House will go to any lengths to defend its unacceptable actions," said Representative John Conyers (D-Mich.). “But a day of reckoning is coming. When we control both Houses of Congress and the Executive, these deviant notions will be dealt with most vigorously. We’ll see how they like life behind bars before we’re done with them.”

This mouthful of threats and thunderings comes from one of the poster-boys of deviant notions and criminality.

If only the Republicans had the spine to stand up to these bilious blowhards and crush them with the indictments and jail time they so justly deserve for TREASON and TRAMMELLING the Constitution.

But I’m certain that there are PLENTY of more mundane crimes that would stick to these thieves and deviants if only the Republicans had the BACKBONE to initiate them.

Should read, “If only the Republicans had the BACKBONE to INVESTIGATE them.”

A small preview of what is in store for all of us if they gain control.

I suspect him of harboring “Splittist” tendencies.

I wonder if he’s an Obamaniac?

Just came up with an idea. If Conyers and his running dog lackeys keep this sort of thing up, then once we get into power we have the FBI pick him up for a Republican waterboarding session ~ only way he gets out is if he spills the beans on all the crimes commited by Dem party hacks in Congress over the years.

Should take a minute or so to break him, but we're going to need steno services to keep up with him spilling the beans.

No tapes. They'll just be back at us someday over tapes. They like tapes.

Then we waterboard that Matthews guy just for the heck of it. I get dibs on first bucket!

If ‘Contempt of Congress’ is a crime we are really gonna see some problems with overcrowded jails.

Yes, looking to a future where terrorists and national security are ignored and anyone with an (R) next to their name is persecuted.
