Campaigning in New Hampshire today, Duncan Hunter, long shot candidates for President in 2008, announced earlier today that he was to make a major announcement, setting in place speculation that he was ending his bid for the White House.
Hunter, Congressman from Californias 52nd District the past 26 years, has been making a bid to be the nominee of the Republican Party and struggling to be noticed, often being ignored by major media sources that seem to prefer other more polished candidates.
In spite of growing support at the grassroots level and finishing third in the second primary in Wyoming, picking up one delegate and an alternate, ABC and Fox News both decided he was to be denied a place at their latest debates, furthering their near blackout on his candidacy.
Speaking with Republicans likely to vote, often heard is, Who is he? If there was ever anything Id like to be proven wrong on, its my opinion that Hunters going nowhere. Hes a good man. I am all for Duncan Hunter, BUT - he doesn't have the recognition that he needs, or deserves. I like Hunter, I just dont see him going anywhere. The only thing I have against Hunter at this point is that he cant win. Supporting Hunter is a noble cause, but it's also a rapidly dying one. He is my favorite candidate. I anxiously await for him to make a move.
Hunter made such a move today, announcing, Presidential Candidate and California Congressman Duncan Hunter will be making a major announcement today at 2:00 p.m. (EST), regarding the future of his Presidential bid.
Before a small group of people expecting to hear his announced end to his candidacy, Hunter shocked them all with a short speech that included,
[He was] not allowed to attend the debates, because some knucklehead, arrogant executive in the corporate media world of ABC and Fox News in some third or fourth story glass office decided that I was, my campaign was over, and the lights were going to be shut out on my campaign. So against that backdrop, ABC and Fox have been asking us when Im going to quit. So heres my answer: Im not going to quit. Im going to continue.
Pointing out the fact that he obtained the delegate from Wyoming, Hunter reasoned,
And, you know, in the interim, between making that initial decision and the debates, something took place. It was called the Wyoming caucuses. And in the Wyoming caucus I won a delegate. In fact, I now have an officially declared delegate. And as I understand the rules, that means that guys like John McCain, who have zero delegates, and Rudy Giuliani, who have zero delegates, were allowed to attend these two debates, but a guy who actually had some points on the scoreboard, that was myself, was not allowed to attend the debates.
He continued in regards his campaign,
"I'm not going to let some arrogant corporate media executive, by blacking me out, by taking me off the presidential debates just a few hours before the polls are opened, to decide whether or not this campaign is over."

Hunter has the endorsement of General Chuck Yeager, legendary test pilot whose exploits were chronicled in the book "The Right Stuff, the Missouri Republican Assembly, GodVoter.org, Joseph Farah, founder, editor and CEO of World Net Daily, former New Hampshire Senator Bob Smith, Los Angeles Radio Host Terry Anderson and just recently picked up the endorsement of the Nevada Republican Assembly, amongst other endorsements.
Hunter is a two tour Viet Nam Veteran and his oldest son recently completed his third tour in the War on Terror.
On The Issues, Hunter has a 26 year record hard to beat
The campaigns, as elongated as they are, are barely underway. No candidate should be shut out from the American voter as of yet. Voters need to see all the candidates, from each party, to make informed decisions. Voters dont need their choices in this all important election, restricted to the cherry picked choices handed us by knuckleheaded executives running media conglomerates.
As former Senator Bob Smith said,
"There will never be another Ronald Reagan but fellow Californian Duncan Hunter can pick up the Reagan torch and light the way for America to come back from the dangers we now face."
Reviewing Hunters lengthy record in service to America, I feel there is a very good chance he could be even better than Reagan was for America.
I don’t know this author, but he got it right.

Duncan Hunter is Best for Small Business Finance
by Peggy Hutchinson
Duncan Hunter is best for small business finance. Because Duncan Hunter is willing to level the playing field by enforcing our laws, struggling entrepreneurs will have a fair chance to succeed.
Entrepreneurs will be able to pay employees legal wages without having to compete with companies (large and small) that pay illegals $4.00 per hour and dont pay any federal, state, local, etc., taxes.
Duncan Hunter comprehends that the incredible 20MM to 50MM illegal aliens are choking the life out of our business communities large and small, not to mention our entire nations ability to provide opportunities for all.
Duncan Hunter has enough experience and savvy to deal effectively and successfully with international political issues that impact U.S.economic success at every level of every business enterprise.
Duncan Hunter is the only presidential candidate I have encountered who has managed to keep his word, and that, in and of itself, is a monumental accomplishment amidst this field of political liars and hacks.
Remember that song ... You never know which way the wind blows ...? If that doesnt accurately describe every other political candidate, nothing does.
Somethings got to give ... and soon ... because if we continue as we have then we do so at our childrens peril. The times they are a changing ....
Thank you for letting me vent.

I’m really enjoying the keywords that have come out of this press announcement.
>>>If that doesnt accurately describe every other political candidate, nothing does.
Amen!
Ya know, that is a very telling point: I take this as evidence that the MSM (of whom Faux News has wholeheartedly joined) is attempting to manufacture who will be the GOP nominee.
Lol! Thanks, I hadn’t noticed.
bttt
“take this as evidence that the MSM (of whom Faux News has wholeheartedly joined) is attempting to manufacture who will be the GOP nominee.”
Sarge, they’re past ‘attempting’, that is exactly what they are doing.
I fail to see how this is any different than what the media pulled in Florida 2000.
MSM don't want that to happen, first they were banking on another Clinton Dynasty, now they've thrown her under the bus for the "clean, white and articulate" "magic Negro" Hussein Barack Obama.
Let’s not forget that (as I read in the San Diego Union-Tribune article) Fox and ABC actually sent him queries after the Iowa Caucuses asking him when he would quit.
He merely gave an answer.
Oh, I agree with you both - they no longer feel the need to hide it, they have openly declared their intent to put She Who Must Not Be Named back on the throne.
And Faux News has gone to the dark side.
Can’t that article be posted? I can’t because I’m on dial up in the middle of a snow storm.
ping?
Everyone in California, please remember that if you are registered independent/non affiliated you can no longer vote a republican primary ballot. You must register republican first if you want to vote any republican in the primary in February. You have until Jan. 22 to change your registration.
Hunter hating Union-Tribune journalists got some yesterday.

Knuckleheads, I think he was too generous. I would have said-——. Never mind, I don’t want to get banned.
And he gave me a new tagline.
