The first graders names have been omitted. This is an excerpt from a holiday letter of American family of academic liberals currently living off the government (of Australia, for now).
...other breakthroughs included the training wheels coming off the bike and an early grasp of American politics ... During the APEC meetings in Sydney, the father of his friend XXXXX, who was commander of the Australian troops in Iraq, had lunch with President Bush. XXXXX brought to the daily class 'news time' the official White House atlas given his dad. The teacher said "How special it was for your father to have had lunch with President Bush! Class, are there any commments or questions?" XXXX's hand shot up and said: "Having lunch with an idiot is not special." Quite a few of his classmates' parents reported this comment back to us (some disapprovingly). Our reply was that XXXX has always been taught to tell the truth.
Bomb, bomb, bomb....bomb, bomb Austrailia. :)
To their credit, some of the Aussie parents had a definite problem with the American boy’s commentary.
Yes, I know, they're one of our staunchest allies in the WOT..just being silly!!
Instead of Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader, perhaps we ought to get this p!ssing contest out in the open and compare the grades of Bush, Gore (king of all media), Kerry, Dean, Galloway, Moore, Streisand, the American lib parents and this first grader.
Calling someone an idiot doesn’t make you any smarter. And some of the idiots they idolize mask their academic failings really well. If you read the Wikipedia entry on Al Gore Junior, you’d never even know that he flunked out of his theological studies.
The Aussies have joined the cut and run generation with the election of their new socialist government and tossing out of their war supporting PM. If they get bombed, I don’t care. You get what you ask for.
You have to start pretty early to brainwash a child into being a liberal.
Going to school with little idiots is not so special either.
Thanks for the props. I sent it off to Howie.
Eliminate tenure.
It’s a start.
