Welcome DUmmies and Sadly NUts! Sad Sacks as well as many other from the Leftwing Blogosphere who have done some tremendous efforts to publicize this site. To your efforts we must also add that of the KOmmies who on their Daily KOs Midday Open THREAD yesterday gave us tremendous publicity by featuring us at the very top of the page. And over on the Weblog Awards we have the same DUmmies who were involved in a questionable fundraiser with no accountability from a couple of years ago now obsessing over the DUFUs to the extent that their THREAD has grown to 23 pages long! With all this incredible publicity for the DUmmie FUnnies, the Weblog Awards have become almost besides the point but if you want, you can vote HERE
For all you many new readers brought to this site thanx to the bigtime Leftwing conniption fit, I will now show you a regular DUFU edition. See, what we do here is take the ranting of the folks on the Democrat Underground aka DUmmies, Daily KOs aka KOmmies, and several other Leftwing sites and merely Copy & Paste what they say with comments beneath. So if they are OUTRAGED by the DUmmie FUnnies it is because we quote their lunacy ACCURATELY, word for word. And this is what we shall do in this DUFU edition. As many longtime followers of the DUmmie FUnnies know, DUmmieland is full of an array of laughable conspiracy theories. It goes without saying that the vast majority of the DUmmies are 9/11 Truthers (MIHOP: Made It Happen On Purpose or LIHOP: Let It Happen On Purpose). However, there are many other dire predictions of gloom in DUmmieland. See that new Walmart being built a few miles away. Guess what? According to the DUmmies it is really a re-education camp. I kid you not. And this is only ONE of many such kooky theories which brings me to today's DUmmie THREAD titled, "The most dire predictions on DU have not come to pass." What? I mean what happened to the draft that all DUmmies were sure to happen right after the 2004 election? You mean (GASP?) that the dire DUmmie predictions never seem to come to pass? So let us now read the revelation about the DUmmie lack of credibility in the prediction department in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, providing some "sophisticated comedy" in the form of DUmmie Perry Logan's video at the bottom of this edition, is in the [brackets]:

the 2006 elections were not canceled or stolen. Martial law has not been declared. Liberals and progressives have not been thrown into camps, etc, etc.

Lots of bad law, plenty of flouting of the law by the admin, a weak opposititon, but the catastrophic predictions above have failed to be fulfilled, time after time. And DU posters have been making these predictions regularly.

Anything's possible, but those making the direst predictions have been wrong repeatedly.

Have the '08 elections happened yet? I must have missed them... ...The "most" dire warnings have been about military drafts and cancellation of the '08 election...not the '06 one...

I think this administration is capable of anything, including putting Americans in camps and launching nuclear first strikes. But we have had a powerful movement of resistance in this country ever since he took office, working time and again to bring this administration down. Thanks to them, much of the more dire predictions of the left never came true, and for that, we can all be proud. And thankful.

I said in my original post that those that were sounding the alarm of more dire things to come in the future deserve some credit for being vigilant in making THOSE MORE DIRE PREDICTIONS NOT HAPPEN.

DU is nothing if not a catalyst for dire predictions. Last week I was told we were all going to die if Al Gore was not the next president. Which would have been hilarious if the poster had not been dead serious.

I think that there very well may have been an attempt to steal the 2006 election, and it may very well have altered the number of seats that the Dems got in both houses. Don't know that for fact, but I think that.

I think votes were stolen in 2006; just not enough votes to block a squeaky Dem majority in the Senate. They miscalculated. The pre-election polls were wrong (mostly because a whole lot of "unlikely" voters came out to vote Democratic), Rove didn't set his sights high enough.

How do you know the 2006 weren't deliberately skewed? What's the easiest way to shut people up about voting irregularities? Let them win one. DUFU has ~1000 pingees at FR. Voting has been going for about 4 days and PJ has around 4000 votes.
I have a hard time believing that SN! has a consistent readership base of 2500 or more.

You are absolutely right that it is the lunacy of the left that deserves full credit for the creativity.
But what you fail to note is P.J.’s own creativity in digging for those perfect nuggets of moonbat gold. It’s hard work. There’s such a mountain of humorous hypocrisy to wade through, all of it potential comedy gold.
But here’s where P.J. earns his nomination - and I’ll have to mix metaphors here, because it’s obvious that the DU fever swamp isn’t a gold mine at all ... it’s a diamond mine.
Each thread is - literally - a diamond in the rough.
The DUmmies create the lump of carbon. It’s all their work, and alone its funny (or .. FUnnie) enough!
But the creativity - and the real riches - come from recognizing which lumps of carbon (no offsets!) can be transformed into glittering jewels of jaw-dropping jocularity. And then, even when the specimen is chosen, P.J. must strike at the perfect seam to unleash the brilliant beauty of the buffoonery within.
He’s a diamond hunter and jeweler. You provide the raw materials. But he has to cut the diamond and polish it to a high sheen.
DU would be (and is) funny enough all on its own. It always draws a few laughs - and the utter seriousness of all who dwell there, wallowing in their adolescent angst, is indeed hilarious.
But when PJ finds that one - perfect - thread. Then supplies that one perfect cut. And shines it to perfection, before displaying it in his little display case! Ah, that’s the genius. You can’t appreciate it, of course ... but its why he got his nomination.
And its why I’m laughing even now, my little future diamond.

That must be GrannyNanny in her headscarf, sucking up to our enemies in Syria; or DingyHarry Reid's moronic ravings, which have accomplished only one thing: raising $4M for MCLEF via Rush; or the anti-American Moron.org's ad against General Petraeus, which succeeded in enraging the American public to the point he has higher ratings than any elected official anywhere; or the Clown Congress which has accomplished absolutely nothing except the lowest rating of any Congress in history. Yes, this is indeed a "powerful movement of resistance." "Resistance" to logic, common sense, and American values.
