DUmmie FUnnies 07-02-07 ("Poor judgment on dKos")
DUmmie FUnnies ^ | July 2, 2007 | KOmmies and PJ-Comix

Posted on 07/02/2007 6:36:16 AM PDT by PJ-Comix

According to pandering presidential candidate, John Edwards, the global war on terror is just a bumper sticker slogan. In a pathetic attempt to ingratiate himself to the Looney Left that now runs the Democrats, Edwards needs to downplay the fact that terrorism is even much of a threat. We saw that same attitude recently on the Daily KOs in this KOmmie THREAD posted by Larry Johnson titled, "London Bomb--What a Crock of Crap!!" Larry's contention is that this whole terror threat is nothing but a "Crock of Crap!!" Here is what he said about the first bomb threat car in London that was discovered:

"You know what you call a vehicle with 50 gallons of gas? A Cadillac Escalade. The media meltdown over this incident is simply shameful."

So what do you call a vehicle that ALSO had propane tank and cannisters of nails, Larry. An excursion car? Too bad Larry's timing was way off since the VERY NEXT DAY after he posted his idiocy, a jeep Cherokee rammed the terminal at Glasgow airport in Scotland. It would be interesting to read Larry's take on this but he currently seems to be in hiding from embarrassment. However, don't think his fellow DUmmies have been slapped into reality by these incidents. Many still continue to buy into the Edwards/Johnson routine of discounting the terrorist threat. It is the fact that the KOmmies are looking like such utter FOOLS in this matter that has inspired this semi-sane post by London KOmmie justforkix, Poor judgment on dKos, in which he takes his fellow KOmmies to task for disbelieving the facts of the terrorist threat in Britain. So let us now watch the KOmmies discount the very existence of any terrorist threat in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, wondering if John Edwards is still scrapping off his "bumper sticker slogan," is in the [brackets]:

Poor judgment on dKos

[A daily event.]

Long-term Kos reader and London resident here. I have to say that the Larry Johnson diary made my eyes pop when I first saw it on top of the RecList on Friday. There I am, sitting at my work desk, two floors above Oxford Street, with police cars screaming down the road throughout the day, and news of tube cancellations and evacuations coming through in the office email - and here is this diary on my monitor, saying it's all a crock of crap. It's true that American media has a tendency to blow everything way out of proportion. (I was a first-hand witness to that too in Denton, TX during and after 9-11 - our mosque happened to get firebombed.) But for Larry Johnson to be so dismissive when he is so ill-informed was a very poor reflection on this great website.

[I hate to break this to you, KOmmie justforkix, but Larry Johnson is an ACCURATE reflection of KOmmieland.]

I can only hope that this Larry Johnson won't jump the gun or trivialize reported incidents in future without having more facts in hand. It makes him, and this site by association, look foolish. When I heard about the Glasgow attempt, I was reminded of this post again. It's true that these terrorists seem to be a bunch of utter incompetents and belong on the set of a farce. But you only need to get lucky once. There are still too many crazies out there who are itching to kill innocents. And I say this as a Muslim myself. You see hardline Muslim youth every day on the streets of East London. As a Muslim from a moderate country (Bangladesh), I find nothing in their conversation or attitude that links my faith to theirs. If there were to be further successful attempts, and if the perpetrators do turn out to be disaffected Muslim youth from a working-class immigrant background, then very few people - least of all the Muslim community here - will be surprised. It's become that kind of world.

[Larry Johnson seems to be hiding out in embarrassment over the Glasgow terrorist incident since it gave complete lie to his dopey premise the very next day after he posted it. And now to hear from the rest of the KOmmies who are not the least bit embarrassed over looking like idiots...]

Larry is right.

[Posted the very first reply thus demonstrating KOmmie ignorance beautifully.]

While the plot itself was serious it could not have inflicted nearly the damage breathlessly reported by the media. Gasoline is only a high explosive under very narrow circumstances. Think about how your car works. The air/gas mixture has to be correct. Too much air, no compustion. Not enough air, same problem. In addition to provide maximum force it has to be compressed. Those conditions are very difficult to produce in a car, any car, even a couple of very well built Mercedes.

[So you would have no problem standing next to that Mercedes that was also loaded with propane tanks and nail cannisters?]

The Glasgow attack was very Hollywood, which made it look more like an unfortunate comedy moment than a serious threat.

[I'm sure you would have had a great bellylaugh if you had been standing between that Jeep Cherokee and the airport terminal.]

As for disruption in London - disruption in London happens all the time, whether there's a threat or not. London has one of the creakiest and most overcrowded public transport networks in the developed world. Decades of 'Why should we spend money on the peasants?' have seen to that. There was disruption before Friday, and there will be more disruption after it. Turrurists are almost a minor inconvenience compared to other mundane annoyances on that network.

[In the Alternate Universe of KOmmieland, terrorism ranks down there with inconvenient traffic jams.]

Johnson's diary was held up for ridicule on Little Green Shitballs. We don't need that.

[Would you feel better if Johnson's diary were held up for ridicule in the DUmmie FUnnies?]

Larry Johnson was dead-on correct.

[Is that you, John Edwards?]

There was compressed gas in the form of propane tanks with nails packed around them.

[Relax! Larry Johnson says not to worry and John Edwards says this whole threat is just a bumper sticker fiction.]

But propane tanks don't explode circumferentially ... which is what would be required to propel nails wrapped around them like shrapnel.

[Maintains a KOmmie physicist.]

You throw the cigarette into the liquid gasoline, and the gas vapors are so dense that there is simply no oxygen to burn. Not only does the gasoline not ignite, the cigarette is extinguished due to lack of oxygen to sustain its own fire.

[I wonder how many KOmmies will self-destruct by attempting this science experiment?]

A vehicle was blown up at the Glasgow airport. If that isn't an attempted bombing, then what was it?

[According to Larry Johnson, it was a mere nuisance to ranked down there with inconvenient traffic jams.]

Larry is not right. What he did in his diary is an example of the worst of blog journalism - the ability to snap judge without having all the facts. His diary was NOT something anyone at this site should aspire to. His diary was the equivalent the MSM desire to fill air space even if one has nothing to say. His diary was about Larry Johnson, the self-styled and self-promoting terrorism expert, making a grand statement. And because he has a recognizable name people here gave his diary a kneejerk recommendation.

[Larry Johnson sounds like the Pied Piper Pitt of KOmmieland.]

please, Larry, if nothing else looks like the guy with the worst timing in the world. Kind of like when he wrote an op ed telling us terrorism is not a serious threat prior to 9-11.

[Did Larry also tell the Titanic captain not to worry about the iceberg threat?]

What I really want to know is whether the new rash of bombings is linked to acts arranged by the CIA in Italy in the 1970s - the Strategia della Tensione - while Michael Ledeen was stationed in Italy and George H.W. Bush was director of the CIA. It would be just like the Bushistas to blackmail the new prime minister with a rash of bombings that only "cooperation on intelligence" can address. I want to know from the interviews going on now with those arrested whether there were informant/instigators in their groups just like there have been in every "terrorist" plot busted in America in the past few years.

[A London/Glasgow bombing "Truther" speaks up.]

We have a new left-leaning prime minister who is distancing himself from the Bush Adminisration and his predecessor, Tony Blair. All of a sudden there is a rash of bombings. Sounds too familiar to be coincidence in my book.

[If this is KOmmieland, this wackiness sounds VERY familiar.]

Call me a conspiracy theorist. As you have pointed out, these war criminals are capable of anything.

[How about if we call you a V For Vendetta fanatic?]

Johnson was also on MSNBC's Keith Olbermann, saying the same thing.

[Johhnson serves up the kind of Kool-Aide that Olbermann loves to drink.]

I understand that lives could have been lost today, and that is no laughing matter. But I also think that the American MSM used this to their advantage-to sell the Global War on Terror

[You mean that silly bumper sticker slogan that John Edwards discounts.]

Not to change the subject but I'm wondering if these car bombs appeared in London (one of the world's greatest cities IMHO) at the encouragement of American intelligence agencies.

[Your tinfoil hat is fitting a bit too tightly.]

Why, Larry, EVERYBODY knows that the incidents in the UK were nothing more than a favor from outgoing PM Blair to “Bushco”, in his final act as Bush’s “poodle”. They were meant to distract people from Bush’s failure to get a comprehensive immigration bill passed, as well as his plunging poll numbers and the failure of the troop surge in Iraq. /sarc

And I guessed at all of that without reading anything in DUmmieland or KOmmieland for the past few days. How’m I doin’? :-D DUmmies and KOssacks are SOOOOOO predictable!

SEVEN THINGS I LEARNED ABOUT TODAY’S BOMBING ATTEMPT
Folks, I just spent three hours surfing the net and did I learn a lot! Did you know that most of the news we get is controlled by the Bu$hies? Let me enlighten you about today’s so-called terrorist bombing attempt in London:

1. There is no proof that this was terrorism. With Blair gone, there IS no more terrorism in the UK. This was obviously just someone’s car, probably belonging to a nail salesman, who kept a lot of samples in his car. He was on his way to a barbecue, of course, which explains the propane. And he needed the extra gas, too, because - hello! - he was driving a gas-guzzler (instead of a hybrid, which is really mean-spirited).

So in effect, this was some right-wing, global warming-enabling carpenter on his way to char little animals for his own gratification.

2. Are we not supposed to notice it’s the first full day of Gordon Brown’s administration? This is a very CONVENIENT time for George Bush to claim terrorism is continuing. Tony Blair, obviously knew about this in advance and in a cowardly fashion, and at the behest of his Bu$h Yankee overlords, left office this week.

3. Admirably, the alleged bombers chose England - so anyone injured would receive free health care. If a bomb would have gone off in, say, New York City, imagine all the performance artists and stand up comics who might have been injured. Surely, as Michael Moore would attest, they’d be turned away from the ER.

4. It’s also good they chose a Mercedes instead of the subway. Bombing public transportation would have sent the wrong environmental message. Targeting a symbol of conspicuous consumption sends a chilling message to physicians everywhere.

5. The car was parked outside a bar called ‘Tiger Tiger,’ which highlights the near extinction of that species. That can’t be a bad thing.

6. The fact that the bomb did not go off demonstrates the inequity in standards of science education for ethnic minorities.

7. Clearly these people responsible are angry at us and I am proposing a minute’s silence and formation of steering committee for us all to consider what we as individuals can do to make these people less angry.

KOmmies and DUmmies are always dismissive of terror threats until they happen in their backyard. I'm remembering Pitt's own outrage at the DUmmie reaction to the false alarm in Boston a while back. When it happens near them, it's real.

Okay, I’m connecting some dots here so please, “hep out a white boy”.

Olberman is an x-ESPN sports “journalist”. Larry Johnson is a name known to NBA fans as a power-forward that played for a number of teams.

Is this the SAME Larry Johnson? If it is, someone tell Charles Barkley to go b!tc4-slap the fool!

Obviously not a mechanic. (I'm not either, but I'm closer to being a mechanic than Rosie O'Donnell is to being an engineer.) Gasoline does not explode in the cylinder; it burns and causes the air to expand. Too much air and it will explode, sending four to twelve nasty projectiles out of your hood or through your firewall at deadly speeds.

But I suspect KOmmies think "blowing a rod" means something entirely different.

Based on my testing-the-new-guy theory, I would say that we should expect a big attack in our country in late 2008 or early 2009. I hope our next elected leader is up to the challenge.

I am seriously worried after Bush leaves.

Say what you like about him, but he is a leader. A Democrat for POTUS is going to attract these kind of people like buzzards to carrion.

But propane tanks don't explode circumferentially ... which is what would be required to propel nails wrapped around them like shrapnel.

So you wouldn't mind standing next to a propane tank wrapped with nails that was sitting on a fire. Well, of course not, because we all know that fire can't melt steel so the fire will never get to the propane anyway, and even if it did, there wouldn't be enough oxygen to cause it to 'splode.

This bit does remind me of something from my childhood. Grew up in Byesville, Ohio and when I was a little kid, I knew this good ole boy down in Derwent that needed to get rid of a stump in his field. Now, most farmers would just dynamite it out of there, but this fella was more creative. He went and bought a propane blow torch, lit it, put it on the stump, and we got about 100 yards away. He then commenced to target practice with that blow torch and his .22. I think he hit it on his third round and what a show.

We had a pretty good cookout with that stump that night.
