Hi Everyone, My neighbors little 2 1/2 yr old cousin needs everyone's prayers. If you know any other prayer list, please pass this alone. Little Leah Saburn (I know it's the moms last name and it might be hers too) swallowed a battery about February 18th. She was throwing up and couldn't eat. At first they thought an ear infection until a days passed and things got worse including blood in the stool. They did an x-ray and found something stuck in the esophagus. They removed it and realized it was a battery. They were told that a battery is the absolute worst thing you can swallow. It produces a current when all sides are touched and caused a burn. The esophagus in now burned. As it heals it will cause a narrowing of it and she'll need more surgery to open it up. Meanwhile Leah can't eat, her body is in starvation mode. Tube feeding isn't working much since the body can not absorb the food. She developed an infection in her ears and has a 103 fever. This poor little child is sad, depressed, and really very sick. She needs prayers all over the world for her. The last email was Mar. 9. At that time she was having a PIC Line put in so that she can receive some e nutrition. So please pass this along to friends, family, and your church groups. Let's all pray for this little girl. I'll try and let you know how things are going as my neighbor lets me know. She asked that we pass this along too. Thank you a head of time for your prayers. May God heal little Leah. Lori
