Vanity:What do you do if you discover you're dating an ultra-liberal conspiracy believer?

Some of you have been emailing me and enjoying my trials as I search for love in Blue Boston. I'm a 42-year-old non-religious Republican, anti-abortion, pro-W, etc. and the pickings are slim. But I managed to meet a fantastic woman, perfect for me in every way--I work in social services and am a fiction writer, and she is into all that stuff, and we just click as I have with no woman since my last relationships broke up.
I just had a discussion with her in which she asked about my politics. I have a No Political Discussions With Liberal Friends policy, and I thought it would suit this relationship. I was right. After I talked a little about my beliefs, she went on a tirade about how Bush caused 9/11, how the WTC was blown up by demolition charges, how Bush is a certifiable moron, and we've killed hundreds of thousands for no good reason, and on and on and on. I sat there, nodding, saying nothing.
This just happened this afternoon, and I'm kinda numb. We have only just started dating but we connect on many levels, but politics is SUCH an important part of my life that this is like a virus introduced into the relationship.
Any comments?

If she goes this bonkers about a man she's never met, just imagine what she'd be like if you were late for a date!

I could never date someone who believes conspiracy theories. I HATE conspiracy theories with a passion. But I dunno, Mary Matalin and James Carville seem to be doing fine...

Dump her. Seriously, find someone who shares your values or your relationship is headed for a train wreck.
To: Darkwolf377
I'd stick with her for a couple more dates and sound her out a bit more. If she's really far that out in Moonbatville, dump her. Sooner or later there will be a blowup and she will probably blame you for it even though it'll probably be her fault.
If she's not a moonbat, if she's just gotten her information from the wrong sources but she's willing to listen to you, then stick with her. Unfortunately, when they get that far out on the fringe, the willing-to-listen quotient can be low.
Good luck!

Considering that this babe has a few bricks missing, it might be interesting to play along, extend the conspiracy theories to even more looney tunes stuff and see how far she will bite. That could be entertaining and who knows if you carry it far enough, perhaps she will realize what a fool she has become.
To: Darkwolf377
Tell how you feel. If it's meant to be, she'll find you intriguing and man-like. If not, then you will be free. But when it comes down to it, nothing warms a woman's heart like a confident man who has strong beliefs and sticks to his guns...
No guts, no glory. Be yourself, and then see if she loves you!
