An Open Letter To Rush Limbaugh
Jon Alvarez ^ | 10/23/2006 | Jon Alvarez

Posted on 10/24/2006 5:24:00 AM PDT by Jon Alvarez

Dear Rush:

Pardon my French, but you’re full of s***! As I listened to your show last week, you chose to criticize and attack conservative Americans like myself who feel the Republican Party does not deserve to win in November. Rush, since when did you become such a shill for the GOP? Choosing the party over the base is a very disappointing move to this long time listener. I’m very disappointed in you, Rush Limbaugh, you’ve lost touch with the reality that is life for the common man in America. I heartily recommend you take pause and reconsider your programming strategy. Do you really want to attack those of us on the front lines versus liberalism? Rush, you yourself have become one of the elite of our society. Perhaps I need to give you some perspective, so you can better understand our anger, or at least mine.

Seminar Mailer...."I Love You Rush and All you stand for and agree with you on almost everything, BUT on this One Issue: GOP CONTROL OF CONGRESS: I think you are full of it, wrong, out of touch, crazy, stupid, blah blah blah"

You Jon Alvarez are a SEMINAR EMAILER---the same as the DEMS once paid to call his show...nice try, no back to DU.

Rush, since when did you become such a shill for the GOP? Choosing the party over the base. . .

If you even consider given control to the demoncRATS by not voting, you are not part of the base.

Sounds like the words of a protege of Nancy Pelosi, Charlie Rangle, John Conyers, et. al.

If you want to vote for these characters, that is your right but the dumbest thing is not to vote or tell other people not to vote to teach the incumbents a lesson.

I am proud of my right to vote and I will never sit on my hands and not vote. That would be stupid. No candidate or party is perfect. The Republican party in congress has done a heck of a lot more for this country then the Democrats.

If you take your orders and talking points from the likes of Howard Dean, Chuchie Schumer, Raum Emanuel, et.al. that is your right but I don't intend to forfeit my right to vote to any of these socialists extremist!

Have a good day!

While I agree with your frustration with the GOP, the alternative is completely and totally unacceptable. I do not want Nancy Pelosi and the extreme left running my Country. High taxes, pulling out of Iraq, increasing energy prices and all the destructive ideas and legislation the Democrats will bring to the table mean that America will stay on a course that may never be repaired. Remember, the Supreme Court does not need another Ginsberg.

Choosing the party over the base is a very disappointing move to this long time listener.

You are what you profess to hate! You want to vote independent, no matter what the outcome will be. You can not follow the though process long enough to see the inevitable outcome. Take a deep breath, breath slowly, and then start over. You are in need of clarity.

Thank you for your service.

But why throw it all away by electing democrats like Nancy Pelosi? Why abandon the House, where they SUPPORTED most of Tancrado's ideas and stopped amnesty and voted to start building the fence? Where they did tax cuts, and cut spending (a little tiny bit)?

I guess you can be mad at the republicans for not spending money on lost causes like Spencer, but given that we might lose other GOOD republicans if they don't get money, I support sending the party money to where it can actually get republicans elected.

You should of course send your OWN money to the people YOU want to see elected, like Spencer -- don't expect the national party to do your work for you, just like as a good conservative you don't expect the federal government to take care of things for you.

All politics are local. Get out and support your local republicans.

If you can't do that because you want to "get republicans out of power", you are a cut-and-run conservative. Because without Denny Hastert at the helm of the house, they would have PASSED the senate bill, Bush would have signed it, and we'd be doing amnesty NOW.

And that will be what happens next spring if you don't vote for republicans, ANY republican, in order to keep the republican leadership in place to stop amnesty.

And to stop the repeal of the tax cuts. The Senate went along with some cuts that they didn't "want" to, and if Pelosi sends over tax credits for people who don't pay taxes and vote Democrat, the senate will happily raise taxes on the "wealthy" (meaning people who work for a living) to give that money away to the democrat leaches of society.

And it will be YOUR fault if you stay home, or worse vote for a democrat or a 3rd-party candidate and allow the democrat in your district to win, giving the democrats control of the power of government, the power to destroy everything good that we have accomplished in the past 12 years.

Don't you think we've scared the bejeebers out of our elected officials? If you want to teach your child a lesson, you punish them, you don't put them up for adoption and look for new kids to replace them.

When the stakes are the survival of our country, you don't fart around with a punitive act like withholding votes. You suck it up and take the best alternative among the most likely choices.

A Democrat victory in November would set the stage for higher taxes and the subsequent decline of our economy, poorer security for our borders and our people, a collapse of the values that are already hanging by a thread, and a return of the policies that have punished the productive and moral for decades.

We cannot let the liberals win, even if it means holding our noses and voting for the candidate we dislike the least. We'll have to find another way to bring them in line. Destroying ourselves at the voting booth is not the way.

try being honest!

what you hope for is that the base will abandon the Republicans- put Dems in power- people will HATE this- and then come 2008- you hope people will run to vote for the third party because they don't trust the GOP anymore....

THAT is the plan of the third party folks.

I'm going to hold my nose and vote Republican. I'm giving the party a pass this time because I didn't get out and work for anyone in the primaries. My choices on the ballot are for bad and worse, however, I see that as my fault. By this time next month I'll have at least 2 conservative candidates (don't know who they are yet) that I am actually going to work for to unseat RINOs in the '08 primaries. Maybe, instead of writing long letters to Rush, Jon should do the same.

Yes, human perfection isn't possible. But what sane person would want to turn our country over to the dems? That is voting for the destruction of our nation all for the sake of "sending a message."

Might be somebody full of something here, but I don't think it's Rush. Starting off your rant with obscenities is not exactly the way to win friends and influence people.

As for the "merits" of your temper tantrum, you're completely blinded by your anger.

You are never going to find a candidate, let alone a political party, that agrees with you 100 percent of the time. You can't judge a party against some perfect utopian conservative benchmark that exists only in your imagination.

Get your head out of the clouds and look at reality. Your choices are (1) Republicans (2) Democrats (forget 3rd party nonsense - that's what brought us Bill Clinton.) Make a realistic choice between the two alternatives that are actually presented to you.

. . . and you might also remember that there are people out there who are trying their best to kill you and your family and your neighbors. Consider what the Democrats would certainly do to enable that possibility.

Why can you not understand our anger?

Oh...poor baby's "pissed off".

Why can't you understand that voting Democrat...or not voting at all...means you would rather put my children at risk in order to prove your point?

And that pisses ME off!
