as soon as our FR Team makes a rank of 800 or lower - it will list individual stats. Pretty cool!

Yeah, the latest curve is rather geometric :), and I've got 4 more machines to check in yet. One got slammed with a 6 day thing and it's a pretty good machine, it'll be a while on that one, should be good points.

It looks like FRF is flying along at 3,019 points per day, and we all expect this rate to increase.

Once some of the systems from our larger contributors kick in we may hit 4,000 or 5,000 points per day. We will need that to hit Top 1000 by New Years.

A couple of teams behind us are out-folding us - # 1736 QHT-HPC is folding 4,612 points per day, and # 1830 TextDrive is folding 5,234 points per day.

Free Republic Folders is already listed at # 273 out of over 41,000 teams in points per day, with only 35 active members.

Pretty amazing!

We're trying... glad to hear about this project. I have another two older and slower machines here; might try getting them on-line over the weekend.

Yesterday we jumped 24 spots to #1604, and we have jumped over 184 teams this week.

I expect that we will continue to gain momentum and jump into the Top 1000 near the end of the year.

Last post for a while. Off to fix a network, clean off spyware and F@H console a couple of systems!

The Arctic Silver is good stuff. The mere addition of the Silver dropped my cpu temp from low 40s C to low-mid 30s C. Standard AMD Athlon XP, no OC.

Sure is great stuff. Up thread, I was trying to make folks be aware that running this client at 100% can cause thermal issues. If you have a temp monitor and most new computers do, spot check it, make sure everything is in line. I wouldn't suggest sustained temps of 60C or greater. Most AMD chips burn up at 65-70 and most intel chips can take 70-85C. Still though, over 60, it's getting really hot and it's probably time to do something about it.

what do you know?

Kos started his own F@H team to compete with us

Those are good links.

We will probably hit Top 1000 in mid-January. It looks like we will float to about 300th place before we need many more systems to climb above that.

Nice to see that Kos reads Free Republic. As we suspected, many of his good ideas come from us.

Don't sweat that competition. Libs, specially commie libs that hang out at daily KOS don't like to work, chances are they got 7 year old macs that were hand-me-downs.

1561...pretty steady.

I've got 3 machines that havn't even checked in yet and won't for a couple days. Some of these WUs are huge, and of course, they're not my top performers either.

Good team effort though, we're moving at a good clip now :)

I meant to ask - is the only place you can check your temp at start-up... in the BIOS?

Thank you!
