Yea, I'm with him. Is it like SETI?
To get started download the software and sign up on the Folding@Home website: http://folding.stanford.edu
FreeRepublic's team number is 36120
Yes, much like SETI@Home (except this is run by Stanford U for a worthy cause :)

Yea, I hadn't found an alien yet. Might be time to move on.

OK . . I'm in!
Ping to look at later
I just checked it out. Looks good, I just have to decide if I want to leave SETI. I've been doing that for quite a while.
Helping freepers does carry a lot of weight though!
Thanks for calling it to our attention.

Folding seems much more useful than SETI. That said, now that I have to pay heating bills, I had to turn off the six 'puters running 24/7. Saves $30/mo in electricity. I got to >50k points though.
Now thats alot. I was more slow and steady. I had 19242 hours with 489 units.
Yes, I have to agree cancer research is more important.
This is timely, SETI is changing its servers or something and I have to upgrade anyway.

Looks interesting... I'm up and running it now.
You convinced me. Actually I just installed it and its running.
Thanks for the head's up!
Cool, I just put my extra machine in there. It's an AMD4000+ 64 with 2gb of ram. That should help some.
