Cannabis Smoke link to Maori cancer
There, fixed. Other types of smoke cause cancer, and there are ways to partake of cannabis other than smoking, so the original title is misleading.

Smoking three cannabis cigarettes a day is equal to smoking more than 20 tobacco cigarettes, [a study by Richard Beasley of the Medical Research Institute in Wellington] says.
The study reviews all lung cancer cases from Hamilton to Canterbury with a focus on whether the sufferer used cannabis.
Studies showed regular smokers of three to four cannabis joints a day had chronic bronchitis and other symptoms similar to those of smokers of 20 or more tobacco cigarettes a day.
The tandem study mentioned in the article sounds a lot more scientific, although the sample sizes are still very small.

And then again it could be from natural oils exuded from hundreds of millions of non-native fir trees grown by New Zealand's lucrative timber industry, and their effects on the lungs of aboriginal populations. The statisticians who trumpet this stuff should be very careful about drawing causal relationships because it's a double-edged sword.

WHOA! We finally found something we can agree on! Cannabis CAUSES CANCER! Just as alcohol causes Cirroses, red meat causes cancer and heart disease, sexual activity can cause about 1,000 diseases, etc...

Ok, I get it. If a few people misuse or go overboard with something, and they, or others, are harmed or die, then that thing is undoubtedly evil and needs to be taken from the entire body of the public for our own good - by force, if necessary. So the left - who absolutely loves this style of thinking - must be correct about a few things that also fall into this category:
Fast food
Guns
Capitalism
Religion
Freedom
We'll start with this little green plant and see how it goes from there. Y'all with me?
