Well, let's see. First of all, one is asking that the President be killed, against the law isn't it? Another is worried about the "babies" when I bet he or she or IT as the case may be most likely supports abortion at will. Another is concerned because Bush is rich. Does he or she think Al Gore, or say John Kerry or Hillary! is poor? Are they this stupid? Do they think Teddy is on welfare?

How was the vacation. Very good, thanks. Partly vacation--showing Stockholm to my wife and daughter, visiting the Henriksson relatives--and partly professional--attending events and conference marking the centennial of the great Swedish churchman Bo Giertz (some of whose works I am translating), renewing contacts with faithful Lutheran pastors in Sweden.

Forget the wrath of God--the DUmmies better start worrying about the wrath of George!

Distressed American is a particularly vile DUmmie. He claims to be a Professor but he is actually a Teachers Assistant who hasn't completed all the requirements for his PhD yet.
He and his sister set up shop...then were booted from The Ditch Witch compound for setting up their Socialist Workers booth and selling copies of the Daily Worker.
He has called me a babykiller and advocated spitting on the troops.
The reason I know there IS a God is because people like DA the Gay TA are not allowed to hold positions of importance or power in this country.

Hi, tx! Vile he is (and a lier!) and he will certainly get his reward--or rather punishment!
I can't believe the Ditch Witch booted him out--sounds right up her alley!
You just can't listen to those people who revile you and the love of your country that you have! They are beneath contempt and certainly beneath you so far you should be able to squash them like the cockroaches they are!

When the least of us -- the poor, the elderly, the babies -- have to pay with their lives for the failure of government or someone else's sins, that's just mindlessly cruel.WOW! I never thought I'd see such a criticism of abortion on DUh!!!

Until I realized how you got pregnant, I thought women just *decided* when they would have a baby, and that was all that was necessary. Understandably, I have been a little miffed at 'nature' since. OK, I see. You don't like men. Well, there's always the turkey baster.

Help me out with this one. I'm no theological scholar, but isn't "karma" just the idea that what you do comes back to you? In other words, if you do good, good comes back to you and vice versa. Aren't many of the Bible's lessons teaching us this very thing?
I'm not trying to be antagonistic, just trying everyday to better understand God's plan for me and Jesus' teachings.
PM me if you don't want to respond in this topic, as it may be slightly off topic. I don't want the mods angry with you for my dumb questions.

I'm no theological scholar, but isn't "karma" just the idea that what you do comes back to you? In other words, if you do good, good comes back to you and vice versa. Aren't many of the Bible's lessons teaching us this very thing? Yes and no. Sometimes there is payback in this life, but not always. More often, instead of divine payback, there are *consequences* to our behaviorbut again, not always.
There is not always a direct one-to-one correlation between particular sin and particular judgment. Jobs friends thought that was the cause for Jobs sufferings, but no. Likewise, see the case of the man born blind in John 9. And note Jesus words in Luke 13:1-5people who die in violent tragedies are not necessarily worse sinners.
Frankly, its a good thing life is not exactly fair, or else wed all be in big trouble, for we are allevery one of ussinners condemned under Gods law. Thank God for his mercy and forgiveness in Christ Jesus our Savior, who took Gods judgment against all sinners *for us*, in our place, on the cross.

These things happen for a purpose- hurricanes are important weather events and not neccessarily negative ones given what they do for the planet. And they happen on other planets, too! Jupiter has a permanent hurricane. Neptune has a couple of them rolling around too. Mars sometimes has planet-wide sandstorms that could be considered a huge hurricane too.
To: Xenalyte
I hate it. But it also makes me thank God that I am a woman and will one day soon know the joy of child birth. It's a small price to pay for that reward.

. Yeah, I know all the libraries have rules against folks talking on their cellphones but that doesn't stop them from BLABBING LOUDLY on their cellphones. They also like to blab loudly on their cell phones in the ICU of a hospital. This is how you can tell they're DUmmies....the rules are not meant for them!
