Greenlighters are an emerging underground movement of sexually promiscuous teenagers, including bisexual, homosexual, and heterosexual members. Members of this movement wear a green polo shirt with the collar up, indicating that they are open to pretty much any sexual adventure. When someone comes up to them and puts the collar down, they are "collared" and will go with that person and do whatever sexual act they ask. Transfer of money is not usually involved. Some parent groups are starting to get involved - urging parents to go through their kids clothes and confiscate green shirts and polos. Supposedly this has been going on since mid-2004 and may be related to the "chavs" in Britain somehow.
I was thinking the same thing.
Somewhere there's a kid wearing a green shirt getting hassled by their parents ;)
Would you believe a hetrosexual guy wearing a green polo shirt? How about a metrosexual?
Yeah, that's what I meant. We called them Madonna bracelets when I was a kid.
LOL! It reminds me of the movie, A Christmas Story when Ralphie says Schwartz taught him the F word. His mom calls Schwartz's mom and in the background you hear the kid yelling, "What I do mom? What did I do???" while getting the crap beat out of him.
"I checked out the web site and it looks legit."
Based on what?!
FYI, Snopes has an admitted liberal bias. After reading a bunch of books (all the ones available a few years ago, including Barbara Olsen's and that one by the British Pritchard guy) about the Clintons, I checked Snopes about a couple of factoids about Hilary, just to see what they said. They claimed that the factoids (can't remember what I checked on) were false, just rumors. Odd, they were confirmed in every book about the Clintons.
IOW, Snopes is no absolute standard. They just google, as anyone else would, and are not conservative.
Phew!
Sorry, I didn't mean to worry you! LOL
How many treats did you give out, you little vixen? And don't tell me you didn't! I read it on a website, so I KNOW it's true! :^)
If you're implying that it's all a hoax, there's a whole lot of work that went into the site. They also mentioned that someone hacked into it over the weekend and they just got it back up. Whatever it is, I check out all threats on my family. Since I see no one else wearing collared shirts collar up, I will pursue it with this kid at church. Or since it's a new poster, should I just poo-poo it and make some kind of sarcastic remark?
Off the subject, sonetimes when I'm out and about and see these 13-15-year-old kids running around with their pants down to their cracks, I look at them and snicker. When they ask what my problem is, I say politely, "You do know where wearing pants like that became popular and what it symbolizes, don't you?" When they express their disbelief after I explain it to them, I say, "Okay. Your choice," smile and walk away -noticing their shocked expressions.
(You FReepers who've seen my pic might understand)
Older folks (usually parents) who witness these exchanges usually give me a, "Good job," and, "Thanks."
LOL! Little is right. I think I was 10 or 11 when Madonna was first popular, "Borderline", "Holiday", "Like a Virgin" era.
I missed this part the firsts time around. Don't believe anything I put on my...uh..I mean anything on THAT erroneous pack of lies website.
I also got it in an email from my Mother's Sister's cousin's Uncle's former roommate. It's true. I KNOW it is!
So do ya think a middle-aged, overweight alcoholic would look good in a green polo?
Holy crap! I didn't know you knew Gary!
LOL!!!!!!
