WARNING: "Greenlighters" targeting US teens for sexual activities.
http://www.greenlighter.org ^

Posted on 07/05/2005 10:27:26 AM PDT by MetaCon

Greenlighters are an emerging underground movement of sexually promiscuous teenagers, including bisexual, homosexual, and heterosexual members. Members of this movement wear a green polo shirt with the collar up, indicating that they are open to pretty much any sexual adventure. When someone comes up to them and puts the collar down, they are "collared" and will go with that person and do whatever sexual act they ask. Transfer of money is not usually involved. Some parent groups are starting to get involved - urging parents to go through their kids clothes and confiscate green shirts and polos. Supposedly this has been going on since mid-2004 and may be related to the "chavs" in Britain somehow.

It could just be a little "Bling-Bling" yo

You know, I can give you that the buckle shoes and the charms are total bling. How else can we explain a guy wearing charms? But jazz hands??

G A Y

No other explanation.

Seriously, this thing just has "Scam" written all over it.

Yes it does look like a scam. Do a google on Greenlighter. Most entries are from this past weekend. Seems to be a new scam and an attempt at creating a new urban legend.

Reminds me of the whole rubber bracelet thing last year that was all over the tv and papers but no kids seemed to know about.

I checked out the web site and it looks legit.

There is a late teen / early twenties kid at church who always wears collared shirts with the collar up. This weekend I could swear he had a green shirt on as he and fortunatly others, escorted my kid along with the rest of the kids for children's church. He is a little light in the loafers, but I don't like making snap judgements. This will require more investigation. Thank you for this post.

Yes, I just read something about that when I did a google on the green shirt thing. Seems there are people out there wanting to start a new urban legend. Who knows why.

It could be an attempt to start an urban legend, but my sister's best friend's boss's dry cleaner swears that it's true!

My kids are into the rubber bracelet thing. They have the Red Sox, Courage, Speed, Endurance, all kinds of stuff like that.

I thought it was the brittle plastic braelets the boys had to snap to get the "treat".

What if you are a heterosexual greenlighter and some nasty butt ugly toothless crab ridden chick puts your collar down? Do you still have to do what she says? Yuck!
