Oh how the mighty have fallen. A few days ago the DUmmies were in ecstasy because Senator Dick DUrbin wouldn’t apologize for his idiotic remarks comparing the pampered treatment of the terrorist Gitmo detainees to prisoners of the Nazis and Soviets. However, much to their great anguish, Durbin has offered a sort of apology for his stupidity a few hours ago. It wasn’t much of an apology but it was enough to set off extreme DUmmie rage at their former hero, Durbin, as you can see in this THREAD titled, “Durbin Caves.” As usual the DUmmie frustration as they rage against the reality of their own impotence is in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, chuckling at the YET ANOTHER DUmmie Disaster, is in the [brackets]:

on lou dobbs--they showed dick's apology on the Senate floor. the reporter said something like the repubs are now going to go after nancy pelosi and howard dean. thanks for setting such a good precedent. we stuck up for what you said, dick. we emailed & letter wrote in your defense.

Why did he cave? What possible excuse could he have given? He had the truth on his side. DAMN!

There was and is no reason for us to apologize...for anything. The Republicans plan is to do ANYTHING, to cry victim over EVERYTHING, and tell the truth about NOTHING, to keep people distracted and misinformed. Dean, please, PUNCH THESE BASTARDS OUT!

Anyone in Illinois want to run for Durbin's seat? Find a good candidate and I'll help you raise money. At some point we have to face reality and accept that some of our Dem leaders are beyond rehabilitation and need to be replaced. Wishing and hoping they'll eventually see the light of day isn't going to happen.

He has no fight, no will, no courage. Issues are great, but only if you have the will to make them happen. If Durbin can't fight or learn to outmaneuver the GOP, what good is his stand on the issues?

Victim? In all the talk about DUrbin and his disgusting remarks, I've not heard republicans utter anything remotely like the whiny, weak-kneed nonsense from the other side. They've been SO predictable through this whole thing, including trying to make DUrbin out to be the VICTIM of a right-wing smear campaign.

"They're trying to divert attention from the real issue by blaming DUrbin."
Perhaps, if they ever thought about speaking without using such ridiculous, over-the-top rhetoric they might find more people willing to discuss the issues that are important to them. If he's truly concerned and not just trying to make the news or play to the lunatic wing of his party, what the hell is wrong with just saying he has some concerns about the FBI agent's report and he believes it merits further investigation?
How many times are these people going to shoot themselves in the foot before they realize comparing Nazi death camps to an air conditioned facility where even the spiritual needs (of people who were once trying to KILL our soldiers) are met only illustrates the dems utter lack of understanding about what's happening in the world? These people live better at Gitmo than they do in their own countries. With all the meds they take at DU and all the loopy conspiracy theories they run in circles trying to "prove" seems to me they've kind of cornered the market on distraction and misinformation...but then I guess the first step to a cure is realizing the alternate reality you've created isn't real and that isn't likely to happen any time soon.
But, seriously...is anyone really worried about Dean punching them out? Dean is too busy putting his foot in his own mouth. Gotta give him credit, though...he never apologizes for his remarks...of course he's so devoid of common sense and class that he's not even aware of how big of an ass he makes of himself...but, hey...at least the dems managed to pick the perfect representative for their party...may he have a loooooong and LOUD tenure!

It's frustrating how hard it is to find screenshots of good semi-old movies.
For example, try to find linkable images of Sgt. Hulka or Psycho Francis from "Stripes." There's not too many out there.
There weren't too many Lloyd Bridges shots from "Airplane!" to choose from, either.

Dick Durbin is an unperson. Dick Durbin never existed. Delete all online posts mentioning him because they falsely document a non-existant entity. Anyone who fails to do so will be imprisoned and reeducated (imagine Skinner in front of a tied down DUmmie in a dark room screaming "2+2=5!!!").
