What do you guys think; does the president drink tap water or bottled water? One of my professors brought it up today, and we all decided bottled.

The President only drinks the blood of virgins.
How about "I know you are but what am I? (Hey it's 10 times as brilliant as his/her comment)lol
There was a time when we had a constitution. It was decided that these sort of questions were to be settled locally. Any town or state can set any standards for water quality that it pleases. Why, in heaven's name, should the Federal government become involved at all?
No, wait, you're right! If a Democrat is elected in 2008, President Bush during his lame duck days should sign an executive order mandating that no public water supply in the U.S. should have more than 0.00000000001 parts per billion-trillion-gazilllion of any thing other than pure H2O! Measured at the tap! Pipes would have to made of reagent grade pure ice!!! It's a genius idea!!! The chief source of contamination in most water systems is in the residential plumbing, mainly lead solder leaching in! Copper will find it's way in too!
Your professor a freakin' genius!!! Now we are all saved!!! Thank you professor Einstein I.Q. Genius!!!

Perhaps you could share some of the comments your professor made and how the class discussion went.
Perhaps you could also contribute some of the following inforation if there is a follow-up discussion in class on this vitally important topic:
Poor water quality is a local issue rather than a national issue requiring presidential attention. However, excessive federal regulation can lead to your paying a much higher price in local taxes for poor quality water. The president was wise and prudent in restoring the standards that existed for the 8 years of the clinton administration rather than allowing a last-second "Up Yours" executive order from clinton stand. You see, on his way out of office clinton issued an order regarding outrageous new requirements for water filtration that would have imposed enormous costs on local water treatment facilities along with enforcement costs for the EPA. Bush said "Not so fast, slick. The prior standards were good for the last 8 years, we can keep them in place a little longer."
I am amused!
I have less respect for universities now than I did before.
The only thing I know for sure is that Friday the 13th falls on Monday next month!
"We have to deal with poor water quality on a daily basis, maybe if the president drank some of the terrible quality water the rest of the country does it would be a bigger issue to him."
Here, how about your fave politicians drink the water.
NOT the bong water, the tap water you are speaking of.
Oh yeah, Kerry doesn't have to be bothered with the 'little people'...
Get a life, get out of Madison, and don't come back.
Nothing like answering a ridiculous ZOT thread with a statement describing just how divided our party is. Genius.
You're in Madison, right?
