No, just take some time to learn how things operate in here.
This isn't truly a blog, and it isn't truly a message board either.
It's more like a web community.
The single biggest mistake newbies make when they come in here and post a thread is to assume that everyone else knows what they're talking about.

For example, a kid posted a thread saying simply "I went to her highschool."
Obviously, we had no idea what he was speaking about.

It helps to have as much info as possible available in the article body and first post.
For example, if I started a thread about Joe Destefano, no-one here except locals in my area would know who I was speaking about.

Since I haven't been back to Ohio in years, I wasn't aware of who the governor was.

That's part of the danger and blessing of FR.
Danger as we have peopel from literally EVERYWHERE here in forum and not everyone knows pols that are area limited.
Blessing as we have people from everywhere and this can bring in scads of info in a short amoutn of time in real time on news events or local opinion.

TO ONE AND ALL - forgive me, please! This is the first time I've ever been to freerepublic - I had no idea that you held it in such chastity. I was simply seeking like minded individuals to view a website that I thought they would enjoy - a site doesn't sell any products whatsoever. Rule Number One of Internet Etiquette: Lurk for a while to learn the social rules of a forum before diving in.

Most people outside of your state have never heard of Bob Taft. At the very least, you should have taken the time to write a short essay on who Bob Taft is and what he has done wrong. If the essay was not well written, it would still have been looked down upon as an unwelcomed vanity thread.

Just slapping your blog on FreeRepublic without any background information whatsoever made you look like just another one of the trolls that regularly show up here.

You have obviously invested a lot of time to create your blog.

So, quit whining and invest a little bit more time to promote your blog properly.

Has my vote too! Maybe I can get Northern Idaho to secede to the south. That's pretty much how we handle things up here too. Every once in a while we get to practice on Bears and Moose, as they are notorious at the charge without warning scenario. I think they eat hackers too though, so it could have something to do with it! heh

 

 Walked within 3 feet of a sleeping cow moose once in the middle of nowhere. She immediately vaulted to a standing position close enough to kiss me, and I didn't have my trusty 44 with me. Took me days to clean them droors and I got an invitation to participate in the Olympics. LOL
