Wall Mart is based in Ark, and had helped Clinton get elected. Now Wall Mart is the biggest company in the U.S., and if it wants this dude in, he will be in.

We've had too many Presidents from Arkansas!

I like Mike, but he does not have the gravitas I am looking for.
It does not mean that he won't throw his boots in the race, but the country, as nice as they are, is not likely to want another Gov from the magnificent state of Arkansas.
But then, I did vote for Dole!:-)

More like Tyson Chicken.
Walmarts location in Arkansas has zip to do with much of anything political. They are not likely to get excited about Huck either.
Tyson, on the other hand, was part and parcel of the Clinton cabal.
Huckabee has the Baptist church.

Many of Wal-mart uppers contributed to GWB and Republicans in both 2000 and 2004.
WMT HDQ are in nw Arkansas which has predominately been the Republican section of the state. Most of the remainder has always been Dem strongholds.

Wal-Mart would never work above board on such things, especially now that our country is divided 50-50.

Under no circumstances will I vote for Huckabee for President, not even of a Banana Republic.
I have held my nose the last couple of times voting for him and he has been a Big Disappointment as Governor.
But I really don't have to worry about this guy making it as President. After Clinton it will be at least 50 to 100 years before another person from Arkansas is elected President.
This thing is a joke and so is Huckabee.
To: Crit
Well... I did like his theory for a volunteer tax. Since the Dems claimed that "Americans didn't mind paying taxes for ", he set up a voluntter tax that anyone who didn't mind paying into could contribute to. At the end of the year there was something like $88 in the fund. :D

Too bad it couldn't have been Duglas McArthur instead!

Huckabee is a middle of the road, old time southern democrat.
If he wants to run for president, let him beat hillary in his own party.

I like Mike, but he does not have the gravitas I am looking for. You like Mike the liberal tax-and-spend RINO Governor?

Yes! I do.
I also Like Rocky.
Huckabee is far from liberal. He is not tax and spend, but he does have a duty under the AR Constitution to balance the budget.
When he signed the tax increases into law, which I had to borrow money to pay BTW, he did so only after trying every way he could to get the legislature to cut some favorite pork.
They did not, and the rest is a historical point of interest.
It was quite a fight.
I would not like him much as a presidential candidate however.
I will likely vote for Rock on the next go around. I have not yet made that firm.
