The other thing is, they could be throwing anything. The cops have no way of knowing if they're only throwing snowballs, eggs, and bananas or hand grenades, broken glass, and thumb tacks. And even if the cops can tell its mostly harmless stuff, they still shouldn't be throwing anything at anybody, that's assault.

As for the complaint about crowd control, what do they expect? Allowing animals to run wild in the streets? We are a republic and we all got to exercise our power on 11/02, if you're not happy about the results, sling letters to the editor, not hard objects at the POTUS.

Today I kept watching for John and John to step out from behind a couch and serve President Bush with an arrest warrent. I guess I missed it.

I heard on Rush that Kerry made his way to the podium hoping for a photo-op for his scrap book of "cudda bins", I guess. What a loser.

I'm willing to wager that it wasn't the ones right up front close to the fence doing the throwing, yet they bore the brunt of the spray. Not cool.

I would say it is "not cool"to hide behind someone while throwing things at the Presidential motorcade.

I was actually right at that spot earlier in the day. I saw about 3 hard core "black bloc" anarchist types talking on cell phones, relaying their location to their buddies that you could see around the protests. Wouldn't be surprised if they were involved in some of this.
