Another Disgruntled Democrat
<![if !supportLineBreakNewLine]>
<![endif]>

Betsy Newmark had "blogger withdrawal" because Blogger would not let her post all day. I had "Betsy withdrawal" because Blogger would not let her post all day. She has lots of good stuff up, so check her out.

The words of this Democrat posted at Betsy's Page probably say what many Democrats are thinking.

Speaking as an embarrassed and fed-up Democrat, I have to say to the national leaders of my own party: What were you thinking when you nominated this man!?

Is there really no one better than this that the Democratic Party can offer to the American people to lead us in time of war?

Well, yes, there is. The Democratic Party could have nominated Joe Lieberman. The Democratic Party could have chosen a candidate who would help unite the country in the prosecution of a war forced on us by cruel and ambitious enemies – and then put forward the Democratic program for keeping America a decent place for people who haven’t got great stock options.

Instead, the Democratic Party has nominated a man who has spent his whole career attacking Americans who actually fight for their country, provoking divisiveness during wartime for his own political gain, and voting with absolute consistency to strip America of the means of defending ourselves against our enemies.

What were the Democratic Party leaders thinking?

Not of America’s good, that’s for sure.

Pat Cadell seems to be another one who is fretting over what the DNC hath wrought. Just saw him on Fox talking about just how bad Kerry's internals are and how bad the vietnam discussion is for his candidacy.

Yes, or Zell Miller. The general consensus is that they wanted someone who could beat Bush. We'll see how they feel when Kerry gives his concession speech on Nov. 2.

Caddell may look like an ogre but it's obvious he cares about his party. That's respectable. I especially liked his closing comment, "I'm telling the truth!". The Democratic Party has been taken over by extremist Hatriots and the decent core is concerned.

Pat knows its over. Because Carville, Begala etc. joined the Kerry team. He claims these folks are there with only their own interests in mind, that of gett new (personal) business from the Rat Party. The could care less over kerry's chances.

NO, SHE PROBABLY VOTE FOR KERRY, WITH HER HEAD DOWN IN EMBARRASMENT. IF I WAS HER I WOULD VOTE FOR ZELL OR JOE.
LIEBERMAN IS A VERY DECENT GUY A TRUE AMERICAN AND I LIKE HIM.

The Crossover Game

On one side, we have Ed Koch, Zell Miller, Democratic mayors from Minnesota and Ohio, almost all Southern Democrats. And we have Tom Dashole putting out a campaing commercial where he is hugging President Bush.

On the other side, we have a liberal who is related to Ronald Reagan. I know it doesn't really count, but it was the best I could come up with.

My dem husband--who does not like Pres. Bush--is probably going to vote for him [the president]. Had Lieberman been nominated, he would be quite happily voting for him [Lieberman] instead. Yes, the dems made a huge mistake with Kerry.

In the Democrat party it's not anymore who is or could be the best candidate for President but who can bring in or give the most money to the Democrat Party. That has been going on since Kennedy.

I agree that out of the 7/8 democrat candidates, Joe Liberman's character was head and sholders above the others. And it was his character that doomed his campaign. The base hates him.

"The Democratic Party could have nominated Joe Lieberman."

The hilarious part is that John O'Neill (Unfit for Command) AND many of the swiftboat vets probably WOULD have voted for Lieberman! O'Neill has already said he voted for Gore, and would have voted for Edwards! If the whole idea behind nominating Kerry WAS the Clintons'/McAuliffe's idea (in anticipation of Hillary in 2008), they sure did know what they were doing, IMO!
