Twitch influencer Jessica Fernandez issued an apology Tuesday after she went viral for posting a video about a “feral” man at the gym who she claimed was staring at her “like a piece of meat.”
Fernandez published the apology on TwitLonger — an extension of Twitter that allows users to post tweets longer than 140 characters — calling the video “the most serious thing I have ever posted.”
“First of all, I want to apologize sincerely to the man at the gym where this all started. He didn’t do anything wrong to me and I blew our interaction out of proportion,” wrote Fernandez. “I know many people think that I’m only apologizing because I got called out from the video I posted and this is half right.”

So, she created a bunch of drama in order to get attention. Now, she’s admitting that she was wrong in order to get even more attention. Her admission is unnecessary for concluding that she was wrong. She’s a terrible person. Sorry, white knights, but m’lady is toxic.
Imagine, she’s wearing a small amount of spandex while doing hip thrusters at the gym, a guy briefly glances at her, and she pretends to be offended. The gym needs to give her the boot.

Perhaps so. But, if a man was engaging in disrespectful leering, especially a man who was obviously physically and socially inferior, than her comments were correct and restrained. A voluptuously beautiful woman has the right to be what she is and, if she conducts herself appropriately, to demand respect from others.

She got exactly what she wanted. Had to walk it back because of how eggregious it was. But the result was what she wanted. Attention.

These people rely on controversy for their own benefit.
In this day and age of manufactured controversy and people becoming cynical, cold, and harder to trick, you need to go viral any way possible.
It’s a sad existence in my opinion. Not only is her so-called career tied to superficial self whoring online, but so is her self worth.
I don’t buy the harassment and abuse excuse. You can have all anxiety and PTSD all day long and still have the wherewithal to know the difference between real victimization and the BS she posted

Only one thing more annoying in the gym than some chick with a tripod filming her workouts. With all the mirrors in the gym, there’s no escaping being indirectly involved in her narcissism.
