A suspect has chewed off an elderly man's ear and some of his face in a horrific attack on a Portland train platform.
The injuries were so severe that some of the 78-year-old man's skull was exposed after the violent attack in the suburb of Gresham in the state of Oregon on Tuesday morning.
Police were able to intervene but not before the elderly man was left sickeningly maimed, authorities said after the attack.
Police arrested 25-year-old suspect Koryn Kraemer and booked him on an accusation of assault in the second degree.
Authorities are also investigating as to whether drug use may have prompted Kraemer´s behavior.
The attack occurred in the early hours of the morning on a MAX train platform, the metropolitan area express service in Portland.
Police said they responded to the vicious incident at around 2.17 am where witnesses had reported an attack with a significant amount of blood.
Gresham Police Officers and a Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded thinking the attack had been a stabbing.
When they arrived at the Cleveland Avenue MAX platform, the responding officers found the suspect still engaging in the attack and lying on top of the elderly victim, police said

Koryn is not a common name. There is a 2016 Oberlin College soccer roster pic of a sophomore goalie named Koryn Kraemer, from NJ. Add 6 years to a 19-year old sophomore and you have a 25-year old, the same age as the alleged perpetrator. Coincidence, not sure. This same goalie was not rostered in 2017 or 2018.
The article indicates the attacker just recently moved to Portland from Atlanta.
Love the 2nd Amendment. Too bad people in Portland let morons strip that right away from them.
The single photo on the FB account is a partial facial, with what could be s finger gun pointed at the temple. The eye appears bloodshot. The account is dated 24 April 2017.

Too bad the victim was not armed. OR has officially become Hell’s embassy. One of them, anyway. Not so bad in rural SW OR but the influx of illegals and crime is horrible.
