It’s a terrible time to be looking for a man or woman for marriage. As a man, I see very few men that I think would be suitable, that I would want to marry my daughter or sister. (If I had one of either) As a man, I think I can judge them better. (Like maybe a woman could say the same of other women.)
The cartel they’ve created to get out of the first one. It’s an evolutionary process.
(Believe it or not, all of that old stuff created to ‘protect’ us in various ways wasn’t exactly all it was cracked up to be. A lot of it was limiting and stultifying, and sometimes downright cruel.)
People get addicted to the social media game. I refuse to date anyone I meet online anymore. I’ve been in “ committed” relationships (according to them..they usually demand it) but they never stop searching for more behind your back. Social media is just a pickup bar without the booze but so much easier.
I actually cared about one..a great conservative, intelligent. Attractive. Good citizen. The last time I saw him after a perfect day of him talking about our future, he picked up his phone and says, “ hmmm...I wonder who is messaging me from Plenty of fish?”. Then he went home. He was on every dating sight!
I refused to see him again. H cried! I’ve been told I was too narrow minded about it.
Too bad.
Sad. Social media is death for relationships.

I'm not sure what you mean? Because it required being mean to the "loose" women? I think al systems have blunt edges, that's how it works with people. But giving it up seems to be worse than the alternative.

That was it. In 5 years I never found one!
Especially at my age(older than dirt) I found that men get divorced, Rent or move in with a “friend” and never Seem able get out of the situation. They basically have a housekeeper that makes their life easier while he is online looking for lovers. That way he had someone to come home to so he never has to be alone. I often heard, “but she’s like a sister to me!”
It’s usually men who never learned to be alone.
There was a lot more to it than that. The sexual stuff was just an aspect of an entire system that limited women. Sexuality was used to condone the rest. It explained why women weren’t permitted to vote, not permitted to engage in most professions; why their intellectual abilities were belittled and their attempts in those directions were marginalized. (”Don’t bother your pretty little head about that”.)
A whole lot of crap took place under the guise of ‘protecting women’. And women got sick of it.
Of course they went overboard, as most revolutions do in some respect - but so did men in some of their struggles to be free from old, unnatural and formalized structures.
I know a guy that has had 3 Russian brides after his American wife. He is these ladies golden ticket! They get citizenship and then move on after divorce. He gets a new model every 5-8 years or so. Crazy life.
I’ll stick with my 1 and only.
Gotta convert. Then it'll be easy to find a wife. Being a member of an insular religious community comes with perks.

Yep. That's the direction the pendulum is swinging right now. It won't revert into the opposite direction for a long time. Maybe a couple of generations. Or a century, even.

Her failure to use a phrase like “our rules” from the beginning is the sure indicator that it’s a dysfunctional relationship. Its the cardinal sin of human partnerships to have one-way rules. What is she? The Master and he is the Slave?
She needs some work on learning the “our” pronoun.
I am lost on that one too. There may be a some implied understanding, but its beyond me. Then again, shes a little cray cray.
Second, I follow all of these rules because I don’t have any social media accounts. I didn’t even understand half of it.
She is a psycho bitch.
And a massive control freak.
Guys would be better off staying FAR away from her.
