Using government air pollution and census data, researchers found that disproportionate numbers of non-white people were exposed to potentially hazardous fine particle pollution from nearly all major U.S. emission sources, regardless of where they live or how much money they make. …
The only way this could possibly be true is if fine-particle pollution actively avoids the lungs of white people and actively seeks out the lungs of non-white people.

All of this racial data and science crap needs to be peered reviewed to see if it truly passes the smell test.

For example, our local Clean Air Authority called me one day and asked if they could install and new PM 2.5 instrument that measures diesel particulate matter in the City where I was the Public Works Director. I said sure and suggested they install at City hall as it was pretty centrally located and access to power and internet.

Their director said no that they wanted to install at the new school bus barn. I said putting their would skew the data and he said that’s where they wanted it. So I told him then we don’t want it in my city

Even though they have their own authority, they governing board is made up of the mayors of all he cities in the county, so they decided against placing it in town.

I forgot to add that my city is 70% Hispanic so this would have shown up as more racial inequity per this study

“...non-white people were exposed to potentially hazardous fine particle pollution from nearly all major U.S. emission sources, regardless of where they live or how much money they make..”

So minorities living next door to whites automatically get more exposure. I see.

The only cause-effect I can think of is that minorities often move to industrial sections of cities because the housing costs are cheaper. That's why minorities often live near airports, railyards, shipping docks, factories, etc.

Typical Rubbish. Cities have more pollution than rural areas? Shocking! Who could possibly have predicted that! Hey, lets twist it into black vs white so we can drive division! Lefties try to make everything racist. Math, tests, weather, food, dogs, the Bible, reading, language, makeup, shoes, traffic signals, solar eclipses, you name it and the Wokies will use it to divide us.

The only way this could actually be true is if people of color chose to live where air pollution is bad.

The more money you have the more choices you have.

If you are wealthy and chose to live where air pollution is high is it institutional racism or is it your choice?

I don’t care if you are rich or poor you have choices as to where you live.

The harder you work the more choices you have.

Is that why they kill each other disproportionately compared to other races?

All Whites have an invisible protective shield to go along with their ability to fly and so much incredible good luck that they win the lottery everyday.

Not only that but whites fart rose petals and live on a rainbow.

Regardless of where they live? Sounds like BS. Is the Asian family across my back fence exposed to more pollution than I am?

They mostly live in areas under the complete and total control of Democrats where Republicans have literally zero say.

"regardless of where they live" is obvious nonsense and an impossibility. The African Americans / blacks who live next to me are not exposed to more pollution than I am by virtue of the fact our skin tones are different.

This is embarrassing nonsense.

"Thank you, that is the obvious answer. (More POC live in cities.)"

That's what you would think, but the article makes the preposterous claim that POC are exposed to more pollutants REGARDLESS OF WHERE THEY LIVE. So somehow POC living in the same places as whites are still exposed to more pollution. The POC living in the apartment complex two blocks from me and the Asian family right across the fence are somehow exposed to more pollution than I am.

“Black, Hispanic and Asian people were exposed to higher than average levels of fine particle pollution, while white people were subjected to lower than average levels.”

Notice anything her?

I guess they never conducted this survey in Moscow. Not many people of color there, worst pollution ever. Same could be said for Tokyo.
