A curious thing happened in the Supreme Court budget hearing yesterday. Rep. Joe Serrano went on a long monologue about 'diversity' in the court and even said he would be glad when the day came, that a Puerto Rican could be president...to which Thomas replied that the court was avoiding that question. Nervous laughter ensues and the topic is quickly dropped. I'd like to know what my fellow FReepers think of the exchange.
It happens around the 1:13-1:14:10 mark in the video. It would be great if someone could isolate that exchange and put it on YouTube so everyone could hear it without sitting through the entire hearing.
The exchange is here:

between the 1:13:28 hour mark and the 1:14:10 hour mark.
if it’s there, someone w/much more cyber-expertise than me can find it...hope someone does and posts it here,,,
You would be better off hoping Justice Kennedy has good security. That is the one the leftists want off the court asap, so their commie affirmative action fraud-in-chief can appoint the replacement and move the Court to a clear majority of leftist black-robed rulers.
Bless you!! Thanks! Please ping me when you get it uploaded.
Did you not listen to it? That's not at all what I saw and heard. He's right up there with O'Bor and Beck and Coulter. They talk good when it benefits them but then they turn their backs on us if the msn gives them bad PR. Nope, Thomas will be of no help. He knows the truth and is "evading" following the US Constitution and thus has put himself at the top of this natural born citizen and voter's poo list.
I wonder if what Justice Thomas said had anything to do with 0bama attempting to spank the Court in public during the State of the Union address.
And don’t forget security for Alito and Kennedy who has grown to see the light when it comes to the constitution.
Thought someone should ping the list.
LOL! No. But his mother could have been anywhere in the world when her UK-US dual-citizen son was born, and it wouldn’t have made a bit of difference.
Perhaps. Thomas strikes me as the perfect gentleman though and was not confrontational at all during the hearing. I actually caught it last night and went to find the clip this morning to post on FR.
True dat! He is not a natural born citizen, thus not Constitutionally eligible, and the entire of democrat party—voters and leadership—is okay with setting the Constitution aside for their affirmative action bastard.
ok—i posted a google alert for it—when somebody posts something somewhere on this I’ll get a google alert....
IIRC, Thomas was the justice who accepted the case presented in Dec 2008 claiming Obama wasn’t qualified to be President based on his father being Kenyan.
It went for conference with the 9 justices, and at least 6 thought the case wasn’t worth hearing. That means 0-3 thought it was...and I’d assume Thomas makes it at least 1.
Hmm, maybe admitting that they are aware of the situation and hopefully one of these days they will have to address it? I can’t believe that Justice Thomas or some of the others would purposedly avoid this.
Waiting for the right case/time, maybe, I hope.

You don’t have to sit through the entire hearing to listen to the clip part you are referencing. Just take the scroll button and move it to the portion of the hearing you are interested in and then let it play. The reference was first made by the Chairman about 1:05 in the tape and Justice Thomas made a refernce a few moments later in one of his responses.
And add to the mix that IF he was born outside the United States, then his mother would not have been of the correct age to even pass along the US half of the dual citizenship. He would then be a UK citizen, period.
It wouldn’t work for me for some reason. I may need to update my media player or something.
BINGO BUMP!

I can’t find it.
However, when in this country they vote overwhelmingly socialist just as much as the home-grown kind who want to leech on generous Big Padre government.
