So yeah, I'm getting sick and tired of how people are bashing Sarah Palin over her endorsement of McCain.
We all know why she's doing it and she has my complete respect and support.
So, anyway, conservatives are fighting amongst each other over this and it really is pathetic! On Sarah's Facebook page, people keep lamenting, whining and moaning over it, and I kept calmly trying to calm them down, but they wouldn't listen. Finally, I lost it and said:
"FOR GOD'S SAKE, PEOPLE, PULL YOURSELVES TOGETHER!!!!! THIS IS NOT HOW A GROUP OF PATRIOTS ACTS!!!!!!!!
SERIOUSLY, DOES SOMEONE HAVE TO BE 100% PERFECT IN YOUR EYES IN ORDER FOR THEM TO BE A VIABLE CANDIDATE???? LAST TIME I CHECKED, NO ONE IS!
SARAH PALIN IS THE BEST CHANCE WE HAVE TO UNSEAT OBAMA AND HIS FASCIST REGIME AND YOU'RE ALL HERE TOO BUSY ARGUING ABOUT ONE ENDORSEMENT!!!!!!!! THAT IS PATHETIC!!!!!!!!!!

I'm no military guy, but I do know that in a battle, you need to have a UNITED FRONT and petty arguments like this are dividing the front!
It is obvious that Sarah Palin is the only one who can defeat Obama and that we need to be united around her!
Much has been made of the fact that she is a woman. What we saw last night, however, was something much more than a just a woman accomplishing something no Republican woman has ever achieved. What we saw was a red-blooded American with that rare, God-given ability to rally her dispirited fellow Republicans and take up the daunting task of leading them — and all her fellow Americans — on a pilgrimage to that shining city on the hill my father envisioned as our nation’s real destination.
In a few words she managed to rip the mask from the faces of her Democratic rivals and reveal them for what they are — a pair of old-fashioned liberals making promises that cannot be kept without bankrupting the nation and reducing most Americans to the status of mendicants begging for their daily bread at the feet of an all-powerful government.

BS... nobody needs to stop criticizing anybody... this is America—for crying out loud... we criticize, we exchange... that is how good ideas rise to the top... we’re not a bunch of namby pamby wimps... we know how to take it...

Agreed, but we should be selling those folks on the virtues of conservatism, not representing ourselves as some kinda quasi-liberal party. We will NEVER win in that arena.
I don't have a problem with Sarah Palin supporting John McCain. It falls under the area of a politician supporting an incumbent and it's fairly common practice. Therefore, I don't condemn her, but I don't praise her for it either, because, as I said, it's fairly common practice. It's unusual, but not unheard of, when a politician endorses someone other that the incumbent.
My problem is with her most ardent supporters, who 1) insist on coronating her even though she hasn't announced that she's running (and I don't think she will run), 2) compare her to great historic and Biblical figures, and 3) hurl nutty personal attacks against anyone who doesn't agree 100% with them.
BTW, here is a list of historical and Biblical figures that Sarah Palin has been compared to:

For one thing, her answer to almost every situation is, “we’ve got to elect common sense conservatives.” Well, yeah. I have never heard specifics.

You missed the post where a particularly batty supporter stated that she will win because, it is clear to him, the Lord Jesus Christ is leading her by the hand to that end. This same poster dropped the “f” bomb on me later in the thread.
If you have an understanding of how politicians must work and prepare for a run...then you would understand Palins steps.

Well, at least you’re not posting a photo-collage of Sarah to “pursuade” us. There used to be a poster who would post 100+ photos of Sarah every time the discussion would come up... as if that was the reason to vote for her.
Still don’t think she’s running.

I have not completely made up my mind about her yet and that is the honest truth. But her pandering to McCain when the GOP and nation needs him and ones like him GONE FROM OFFICE makes it hard for me to see her as anything else but a Beltway Insider who takes my vote for granted.
Now as for your comment? It is UNAMERICAN. It goes against the very spirit and foundation on which this nation was founded and that is the right to political dissent. Let me make this as plain as I can. If the Conservatives in the Democratic Party would stop with the party first crap and demand change and demand to be heard as Conservatives in the GOP need to do then Obama's threat level to this nations future would come under check. Tyranny can never be Political Exceptiable or Expedient. NEVER!
I reserve my right as a free American to gripe, moan, complain, and if needed protest ANY elected leader or any government agency including the horrid ones the GOP under Bush imposed on us.
We had a GOP POTUS for 8 years used almost a Cult cleader control method of national and party manipulation to really screw our nation up and set us on the path for one such as Obama to get elected. Bush set sonme real nasty precedents of which Obama is now using against us. We Told You So but No A Bush was never wrong and was to be obeyed at all cost. Well the tabs due from drinking at the Bush LOYALITY OR ELSE Kool Aide bar. I will not support the part of the GOP who supported President Bush nor John McCain it is that simple.

We've done things the NEOCON Rockefeller way in the GOP since 1989 under Poppy Bush and the nation is paying for it with our very freedoms now. ENOUGH! You support more of this? If Palin is wrong and she is in her loyalty to McCain I will say so. I say so now in fact. She is wrong to support John McCain because of John McCain's sponsored act's, deeds, and votes, while in office as a U.S. Senator. I'll not more support this than I'll but a junkie their drugs thinking they will change. Being an Enabler is as bad and as evil as the problem itself.
