Coulter vs Darwin
Godless | 06/06 | Ann Coulter

Posted on 06/09/2006 6:16:57 AM PDT by tomzz

You can't help but notice that there is a very vocal sort of a little clique of evolutionists on FreeRepublic, and there has always been a question in a lot of people's minds as to whether or not the theory of evolution is in any way compatible with conservatism.

This new book ("Godless") of Ann Coulter's should pretty much settle the issue.

Ann does not mince words, and she has quite a lot to say about evolution:

"Liberals' creation myth is Charles Darwin's theory of evolution, which is about one notch above scientology in scientific rigor. It's a make-believe story, based on a theory which is a tautology, with no proof in the scientists laboratory or the fossil record, and that's after 150 years of very determined looking. We wouldn't still be talking about it but for the fact that liberals think evolution disproves God....

It gets better from there, in fact a lot better. Ann provides a context for viewing the liberal efforts to shut down everything resembling debate on the subject in courtrooms and makes a general case that it is the left and not the right, which is antithetical to science in general. Anybody interested in this question of American society and the so-called theory of evolution should have a copy of this book

Most of them can't read. That's why they put her picture on the cover. There has to be something for her average purchaser.

That was below the belt, even for you.

And now, back to the flame war about dinosaur bones.

(And I thought the thread was about this):

And your actions regarding the Religion Moderator have been incredibly stupid. If you can't follow the rules around here, post somewhere else.

You have another suspension.

Didn't you embrace the doctrine of the perseverance of the saints?

Is that in any way related to the preservation of Tyrannosaur bones?

Cheers!

To "Religion Moderator", Your action was petty and cowardly.

When pulling the pin, don't forget to throw.

This is my last post on my former beliefs, because the subject does not interest me, anymore.

Some of your other posts in this and other threads reveal a certain relish when attacking the behaviours (and sometimes, beliefs) of Christians.

At first blush this looks like it contradicts your statement above--unless that statement meant discussing your own personal theological views, as opposed to discussing Christianity or any of its sub-theologies.

Cheers!

Jefferson and I are going to go to bed now.

You'd probably have a better chance of scoring with Ben Franklin, if half the rumors are true!

Cheers!

LOL! Anyone else reminded of that *Cheers* episode where Cliff was trying to use behavior modification to stop his incessant know-it-all jerk-ness. The shrink hooked him up with wires -- and used a small hand-held remote to ZOT him with a charge of electricity every time he mouthed off in his usual fashion.

Eventually -- Cliff got tired of it and wrested the remote from the psych, pointed it at him, and turned it on full blast -- only to shock himself repeatedly with the electricity. Uhn-uhn-uhn-uhn-uhn.

BWAAAAAAA-HAAAAAAAAA!!

Then somehow the old man at the bar got ahold of it. Last words in the episode: "DAAANCE, Mailman!"

<< Nice post. Overstating the obvious, but very nice. >>

Thanks. Unfortunately, that's my tendency -- to overstate the obvious. I keep hoping that, somehow, if I just keep spelling it out in terms that cannot be denied -- they'll give in and admit to it.

Boy, am I naive!

Joe gave the country to the PC police. They do to us what he tried to do to them. Thanks, Joe!

Speaking of which (this started as a Coulter thread), have you read her book Treason which is about McCarthy and the Red Scare?

Cheers!

The current practice of astrologers is based upon previous studies (direct observation) of the stars. As such they also resemble the practionioners od Darwinism inasmuch as they've run ahead in faith their forebearers were correct without going back to question their foundations.

Now, you asserted that astrologers today do not look at the stars. Would you please back up that assertion with some documentation. I figure you would be at home in consulting an astrologer.

And no, Darwinists do not have the luxury of directly observing a history covering millions of years. To that extent their musings reside outside the realm of empirical science but are firmly placed within the realm of indirect observation and conjecture.

AH, yes. I remember reading that within the last six months, laughing, and then forgetting it again.

Thanks for the refresher.
