That's great!! LOL!
Can that be download, or is it only streamed. Us dino-dialups have problems seeing the streams because they run at over 300k and we can't handle the BW.

TO THOSE WHO LIKE TAYLOR HICKS or ARE CURIOUS AS TO HOW HE CAN "SELL" IN TODAY's MUSIC MARKET...
If you really want to get an INKLING ( not accurate, but it is a good indicator nonetheless ) of the AGE GROUP Taylor Hicks music appeals to, I encourage you to go to this site (Taylor Hicks reads their forums too according to his own admission in the Ric and Bubba show when one of the members of the site called the show ) :
http://www.theofficialsoulpatrol.com/forum/index.php/topic,3323.0.html
This is one of Taylor Hicks biggest fan sites and now consists of over 12,000 registrants ( and growing ).
You may want to register to join the site.
THE POLL QUESTION IN THE ABOVE PAGE WAS WHAT IS YOUR AGE RANGE ?
Thus far, there are 211 respondents and here is the breakdown :
10 and under 0 (0%)
11-15 6 (2.8%)
16-20 12(5.7%)
21-25 9(4.3%)
26-30 24(11.4%)
31-35 20(9.5%)
36-40 22 (10.4%)
41-45 29 (13.7%)
46-50 33 (15.6%)
51-55 36 (17.1%)
56-60 12(5.7%)
61-65 4(1.9%)
66-70 3(1.4%)
70 and above 1 (0.5%)
The above responses give us a strong indicator of what age demographic his fan base lies.
1) ROUGHLY 3/4 or 75% of his fans belong to the BABY BOOMER and GEN X age group.
2) About 55% of his fans are BABY BOOMERS.
3) He seems to have fans even among the younger crowds BUT THEY DO NOT COMPRISE HIS SIGNIFICANT FAN BASE.
Yep, ADULT CONTEMPORARY is DEFINITELY Taylors target market.
I can also safely say this FANS OF JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE and BRITNEY SPEARS *WONT* LIKE HIM. So, Dont waste money trying to advertise to the MTV crowd.
I would like to encourage everyone who post here to join this poll. The more of you, the more accurate the poll will be.
My suspicion is even then the numbers and percentages wont differ by much with what is already there today.

Thanks, I should have known to look there! ;-)

Gen X'ers and the Baby Boomers comprise the largest population demographic. That is where the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ is at. Simon himself said it was the most underserved population in the industry too. So maybe, just maybe he's finally realizing that there is a huge market out there after all.
Taylor's fan base is primarily educated professionals with lots of disposable income who will willingly part with it *if* they like the product.

I don't see how she can win the Finale, but if she sings Over the Rainbow, Cherry Tree, and aces her new one, it is possible, especially if the phone lines are overloaded from places like Birmingham and Richmond Va.The thing is, I would suspect that phone lines from places like Richmond and Birmingham likely have less capacity than those from LA.
There must be away to adjust for that....but it's too late for Elliott.

The numbers are skewed downward. Lots of people between 55 and 70 still buy music and go to concerts (check the audience, even at hardcore rock and contemporary getting started performers), but don't answer online polls or go to websites for cyber-chat.
I'll repeat it (broken record)....check out Eddie Money's demographic. We'll fill mid-size arenas for Taylor, and using Elliott as his opening would be a nice lead in.

"When Seacrest asked her who was the guy that hugged you (in the video from her hometown), she threw out in a cold way, I don't know. Like she didn't care, either. Left me cold."
That struck me wrong, too. Again, be gracious. She had no idea who that was but she could have sweetly said, "I don't know his name but I very much appreciate my fans."
LOL! It's bad when your dog doesn't care! I noticed that, too!

Yike. I'm triple doubling my efforts for Taylor. This morning when I heard Nagin was re-elected my immediate thought was Taylor and ANYTHING can happen. I'm going to register on Taylor's site right now and join the poll.

How many times will Taylor say Soul Patrol on Tuesday?
