WASHINGTON -- Hundreds of gay and lesbian parents hoping to take their families to the annual White House Easter Egg Roll plan to start lining up Friday evening to make sure they get tickets for the Monday event.
Thousands of tickets an estimated 16,000 last year are given away on a first-come-first-come basis beginning at 7:30 a.m. Saturday.
National Park Service officials said Wednesday that children of all ages may attend as long as there is at least one child 7 years old or younger, and no more than two adults per group.
First lady Laura Bush's office issued a statement saying all families are welcome to attend.

Homosexuals want adoption for their SEX partners. Right now 26 states prohibit or restrict "second parent" (see homosexuals sex partner) adoptions. Heather can't have two mommies/daddies as a matter of law.
Homosexual practitioners who have a child are just the same as any other single parent situation. The child does have a mother and a father even if they are unknown.
Your point brings up a good point and perhaps we need to legislate the fact a child has ONE mother and ONE father as a prevention of left wing efforts to redefine.

dictionary is not science.
It is just colloquial usage.
Homosexuals push desire as genetic.

It is the attraction that makes someone gay, not the action. What about when someone momentarily stops thinking about sexual activity and instead thinks about knitting and as such is momentarily drawn and attracted to knitting -do they then become yarn, sweaters? LOL
All human beings are heterosexual. It is not the attraction to sex that makes one heterosexual -it is the fact that procreation requires two sexes that makes one heterosexual -from birth and prior to any attraction!
"Gay' homosexuals are actually nothing more than disordered heterosexuals -far from 'gay'...

Gays, Mexicans, Arabs, Catholics have all come in for floggings at the hands of the chosen, the pure, the armies of God.
As a pseudo-man-of-the-cloth, I'm surprised to hear you make a statement like that. /sarc

So are you saying that homosexuality is purely a behaviour? So all those horny teenage boys in high school who want to have sex with their hot math teacher aren't heterosexual because they've never engaged in heterosexual behaviour? Sorry, but I don't buy that.
To: tonenili
One can stop having intercourse with someone of the same sex. That doesn't mean they'll stop having sexual desire towards another of the same sex (any more than a heterosexual who abstains from having sex ceases to feel sexual attraction). Can it happen? Can the desire be changed? Quite possibly. But to say that homosexuality is simply an action is completely false. I would say that post #124 should give you pause...
CLEARLY homosexuality is simply being drawn to or actually engaging in an action ONLY. Accept the physical reality not the mystical leftist propaganda...

Sorry, but I disagree. You may not like the current definition of homosexuality, but every dictionary I've looked at defines it as being attracted to those of the same sex, not just engaging in sexual intercourse with those of the same sex. Language is the mechanism by which we choose to communicate, and I believe that standards are necessary to communicate accurately. Now maybe you believe that all dictionaries have been taken over by leftist whackos, but I'm a little more realistic.

Conflating innate characteristics e.g. race I think we've found the last person on Earth who has never heard of Michael Jackson.

Didn't they do this last year also .. and ended up ruining the easter egg hunt that is meant for children to have fun
So the answer is to punish the children by not allowing them to attend the Easter Egg hunt because of the their parents lifestyle over which they (the children) have no control? That's not very nice to children who had no say in what environment they were brought up in.

And, in any case, this is way off topic. I see no reason why any two individuals who are raising a child together should be denied access to the Easter Egg event if they are behaving politely and orderly at the time. If they attempt to create a scene, or upset others at the event, they should clearly be removed.

Politicizing a children's event. How sickening.
Are you talking about those who would ban children from an event like this because of their parents political beliefs/lifestyle, or about those who would draw attention to the fact the some children through no fault of their own have gay parents?

The only solution is to change it from a first-come first-served to a random drawing OF STRAIGHT FAMILIES.
How would this be determined? What if the child is from a single-parent family?

Sorry, but I disagree That is okay... Promoting such nonsense on FR is not okay...

The realism you seek may be found on DU....

And I know that he wouldn't deny the children of homosexual couples the fun of an Easter Egg Hunt. Or is your understanding of his thinking that shallow? That isn't what this is about. It is about homosexual activists commandeering a sweet, innocent children's event for the purpose of making their political point concerning their sexual preference.
The fact that they are attending the even as gay parents, rather than just parents, bears that out.
This isn't about their kids having fun with Easter eggs. It's about the gays getting their political point across.
