WASHINGTON -- Hundreds of gay and lesbian parents hoping to take their families to the annual White House Easter Egg Roll plan to start lining up Friday evening to make sure they get tickets for the Monday event.
Thousands of tickets an estimated 16,000 last year are given away on a first-come-first-come basis beginning at 7:30 a.m. Saturday.
National Park Service officials said Wednesday that children of all ages may attend as long as there is at least one child 7 years old or younger, and no more than two adults per group.
First lady Laura Bush's office issued a statement saying all families are welcome to attend.

It's as hard to imagine Laura Bush saying something so classless as it is to imagine her spelling "receiving" with the i before the e!

Better hope Rosie O'Donut is not in that crowd. Her gravitational field would cause all the eggs to roll right at her.

Disney has homosexual days events at the end of the school year for adult homsoexuals. The attendees are notorious for wearking shirts with sexual references and comments. Disney refuses to warn people that they are scheduling their family vacations at the same time.

Thanks for the explanation. I haven't seen anything like that.

That is a homosexual propaganda line and is not supported by science.
No, it's simple fact:
Homsexual:
1 : of, relating to, or characterized by a tendency to direct sexual desire toward another of the same sex
2 : of, relating to, or involving sexual intercourse between persons of the same sex
One can stop having intercourse with someone of the same sex. That doesn't mean they'll stop having sexual desire towards another of the same sex (any more than a heterosexual who abstains from having sex ceases to feel sexual attraction). Can it happen? Can the desire be changed? Quite possibly. But to say that homosexuality is simply an action is completely false.
In any case, you are correct that this is not a subject for the easter egg event at the White House. Should individuals try to make it a subject for the event, they should be removed. Should certain gay parents attend the event with their children just to enjoy the event for what it is, they should be allowed to stay just like any other family.

OK, I get it. But to see Kerry in the bunny suit always gets me laughing. It is nice to have some comic relief even when confronting some very serious issues.

What about those who have their own biological children?
What about them? I was referring to those who purchase indigent children to use as accessories--or in this case, as political pawns for their sick agenda.

This year there is nothing they can do.
Enforce a proper zero political or sexual dress code.
Prohibit any non-guardians (sex partners) from atending the event. Federal land so 1996 DOMA applies. (IOW as a matter of law no heather has two mommies.)
Anyone causes problems they are out. Anyone makes offensive sexual related comments they are out.
NEXT year move to invitation only.

I assume by "accessories" you mean you're against them adopting; my question was how you deal with gays having their own biological children. Presumably they're "accessorizing" too.
To: longtermmemmory
It's never been by invitation only. It's one of the last real "for the people" events we have here in Washington.

Gays, Mexicans, Arabs, Catholics have all come in for floggings at the hands of the chosen, the pure, the armies of God.You're Jewish, aren't you? Better get ready. Who knows who's next.
Conflating innate characteristics e.g. race or Constitutionally guaranteed activities e.g. Religion with the chosen activity of homosexual sex is an absurd delusional leftist argument devoid of any reality. Cease your liberal propaganda or take a hike...
I am shocked everytime I see such posts from you here on FR. I suggest you step away from the keyboard, disengage your malformed conscience from your ego, and pray for some authentic guidance to seep in.

FR is turning into bigot-central.
Why? Because we think that homosexual acts are an abomination and should not be celebrated?
I guess Pope Benedict XVI is a bigot, too.

I understand your point.
But do you believe the homosexual parents really want to bring "their kids" to a Republican White-house for any reason other than shove their alternative lifestyle down the throat of conservatives?
This is purely political on the part of these homosexual liberals and I'll bet these homosexuals don't even believe in Christ.

They can't very well say "Gays are excluded or only married parents of the opposite sex are welcome"
Had a stunt like this been tried in a more sane time, that's exactly what would have happened.
We are a craven nation, cowering in fear of homosexuals.

"Google Ishtar and her egg." I have studied it for years and am thoroughly familiar with the pagan history of the holiday. It so sad that the sheep participate in such shameful nonsense, but then I was taught to do it too when I was a kid.

This is an Easter Egg Hunt for children.
Precisely. Which is why you should be incensed that these cretins are attempting to purposefully inject their deviant sexuality into it to try to score political points.

I guess Pope Benedict XVI is a bigot, too.I doubt he would react like many of the posters on this thread though. And I know that he wouldn't deny the children of homosexual couples the fun of an Easter Egg Hunt. Or is your understanding of his thinking that shallow?

No, the egg roll event at the White House has never required that the people bringing kids be their parents. Several years ago, a close friend and I took her daughters to the egg roll, and we all got in just fine. No one outside the gates yelled at us assumung we were lesbians, either.
