ABOARD AIR FORCE ONE (AP) President Bush says the deal allowing an Arab company to take over six major U.S. seaports should go forward and he will veto any bill that would stop it.
I agree with your assessment.
So the port deal comes along, and everyone is like WTF? Is there or isn't there a war on terror? Whether or not that's a rational reaction, it's an understandable one, given the lack of information regarding the actual terrorist threat to the United States? Is there one?
And when we raise questions, we are given snotty replies by some know-it-all FReepers who want to remain know-it-alls because it makes them feel important to give 'you lazy dumbsh!t' replies instead of sharing knowledge without getting angry at the FReeper posting the question.
And I'm sorry, but that is occasionally the kind of answers we get from the Bush Administration. Sometimes telling those who voted to re-elect you that 'you don't need to know why, just trust us' is insulting and makes inquisitive and slightly paranoid minds (as a result of 9/11) question even more. As you said, "everyone is like WTF?"
I must say that the questioning can be done without resorting to bashing, threats and using DUisms.
i tend to agree with you, and would go on to say that anyone wanting to bring something here may have done so already under any port administrator.
As you can see from the other replies you are getting, we are a minority.
I am surprised people here think that something all the democrats are piling on can possilby be what it is represented to be by them.
Is this what you want to believe or is it a fact?
The Internet has not given us the ability to find more facts, even though the facts are out there, all it has done is give us all a place to find support for our emotional opinions.
"What do we do next, outsource NORAD to the Chinese?"
Shhhhhhhhhhh. Don't give him ideas.
You were wrong on Meirs, you are wrong on this. I just pray to God you hysterical freaks don't screw this one up.
Sorry for the confusion - it's hard keeping the company names straight - what I am saying is that the port leases are currently owned by British and Dutch companies, so all this talk about FOREIGN OWNERSHIP is already a red herring.
Ports ping.
Some of the opinion makers are starting to shift. Some supersecret info, maybe? Even if there's a really good reason to do this, and I cannot imagine what it could be, in politics perception is reality. This is a loser in the court of public opinion, and another reason for the base to stay home in Nov.
NO, NO, NO! Neither Don Rumsfeld nor General Pace can be trusted to tell us the truth or protect the country.
They are all in it for the money. They just want to get along with Democrats. They want to see us lose seats in November. Not even for HALLIBURTON will Rumsfeld and Pace come clean on this story.
(/ tongue in cheek)
I'm sure you just forgot to ping Howlin to this post, right?
2. Peter King (R-NY) is NO Conservative, as he is being described in the MSM.
3. 9/11 Father says Bush is insane begins sentence with "I'm a life long Republican..." translation from politics to English - "I'm Chuckie Schumer's shill and his personal Cabana and towel boy."
It turns out that an anti-Israeli foundation run by the crown prince of Dubai owns the very deed to CAIR's headquarters located almost in the shadow of the U.S. Capitol. The foundation has held telethons to support families of Palestinian suicide bombers.

All your graphics are "photobucket bandwidth exceeded."
For the record, Rush is not saying he supports the ports deal - he is just saying we need to get the CORRECT facts out there in light of the tsunami against this.
Maybe we can condemn the Danish cartoonists again while we're handing the contract over to the UAE. Make it a kow-towing double-whammy.
That's very interesting. So this is sort of like the Danish cartoons, in other words. Somebody is using this?
