Oh god, I can't watch that Chrissy show!
Freaking 5 RATS on there, Ridiculous!!!
Anita, you are on fire today! That is a VERY good point. Kind of makes the behavior of the Whaa chorus understandable. THEY think they picked Bush and now are MAD when Bush isn't their puppet. Interesting how pre-Bush the Dems regained Senate and House seats every election since 1994. Since Bush the Repbs have gained seats every election even in what has traditionally been down years for the Presidential Party.
Were they considered known conservatives? If so then Miers considered not known may well be a very good choice because she may well work out to be conservative whereas some known conservative may not.
Yes, that 's why they decided to vote for her even when they disagree with her views.
Good answer. Newt is not a flip flopper. He should run for president.
John Wayne Gasey had a lot of experience. What makes having a lot of experience such a requirement? The clerks write the opinions. A SC Justice just votes.
Good thread on Iraq:
Defending Iraq - By Iraq's Deputy Military Attache, Entifadh K. Qanbar
She will be great.
And as for your list of the pundits and media jocks who do not like her...so what. Many of them do not like John Roberts, either.
Our President would never betray us by putting a liberal, activist judge on our Supreme Court. That is the last thing this good, good man would do.
Pray for him, for his wisdom and for his courage in the face of an enemy at home that is for more dangerous to the future of our country than the terrorists abroad are.
And give our President a little TRUST, he has had our backs for six hard years, how about giving some support for his back?
He sure as hell as EARNED IT.
Yeah mass graves usually are peaceful.
"I read on another thread that Sandy burglar is going to give the toon's side after Freeh."
It's interesting to me that when they have a Dim on (which is most of the time), they let them go and an on and don't have a Pubbie on for rebuttal. However, the few times they have had someone against Bubba or pro-Bush on, they seem to need a Dim for rebuttal. You think their softball questions to the Dims and hardball questions to the Pubbies would be enough.
Wonder if they'll ask Burglar about the documents he stole and destroyed and/or his little traffic incident? Naaaaa, whatever am I thinking.

That is what I was trying to say in my not so eloquent way. As far as I can tell, experience is what got us the Kelo decision.
What's being said? Through all this banter, we still want the heads up for what to expect on the Sunday shows. Thanks.
The USSC put the issue of eminant domain back to the States to formulate their own laws.
Abortion will be decided on a state by state basis if the USSC overturns a particular law about abortion.
After that you can be sure all the other MSM will pretend they never heard of Freeh or his book.
I think before you campaign for a paper-trail conservative for the position, you need to seriously look at the make-up of the Senate. President Bush isn't going to send someone before the meat-grinder of the Judiciary Committee only to have the candidate defeated in the vote. Even if you want to use candidates as cannon fodder, the President does not.
If TIME is to be believed (like a broken watch), Rove may not be to blame.
"According to a presidential adviser who has been briefed on the chronology of the decision, senior adviser Karl Rove was less involved than he is in most major decisions. Some conservatives speculate that Rove was distracted or out of the loop because of his possible legal jeopardy in the CIA leak case, but White House officials reject that notion.
"The driving force was chief of staff Andrew H. Card Jr., who took over the vetting role. 'This is something that Andy and the President cooked up,' the adviser told TIME. 'Andy knew it would appeal to the President because he loves appointing his own people and being supersecret and stealthy about it.' Relations between Rove and Card have always been strained, and this adviser said the nomination has reignited the tension. Another Republican involved said it reflected Bush's isolation. 'Somebody just like her should have told him, "Mr. President, no. This is a mistake." But he picked the picker, so there was no one there to tell him no.' "
Gaak, C Wallace says Miers changed her party and her religion so how do we know she won't change on the Court. Leaving the dem party is a natural progression for any intelligent person. She didn't exactly change from a Christian to a Wiccan, fgs. Hecht points out that people don't sit around talking about how one would rule on Roe. Wallace asks if she regards abortion as murder. Good grief. Again, it's all abortion all the time. We really need to send this issue back to the states and stop this obsession.
She is a known quantity who has a quite long paper trail. The kind of paper trail that guarantees a huge fight. That is why so few Pubbie politicos are refusing to defend her : cowardice. Perhaps you should look into the truth about Miers.
