This is news/activism. Terri Schindler Schiavo is still in the headlines. The death lobby shouldn't kid themselves. We are not going to forget...
LIVE THREAD of Terri Schiavo Autopsy Press Conference. It begins at 11:00 pm est from Clearwater, Florida at the Medical Examiner's Office right down the road from where Terri was starved & dehydrated to death.
The ME will have to address that hmmmmmmmm?
John Throgmartin, ME, here he goes. Dr. Steven Nelson joins him. HERE WE GO.
It was Michael.
There are affadavits from nurses that state this.
I don't know if the ME mispoke intentionally or accidentally - I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and say it was accidentally.
It was NOT after a visit by the parents, but after visits by MS.
But why was this even brought up?
Certainly drugs given years before would not have shown up in an autopsy - so why even mention this?
What has bothered me about this all along is the blame given to those who tried to save her but who simply would not go beyond the legal constitutional limits of their jobs to do more. Had they done that we wouldn't respect their actions and they would have sacrificed all in the process.
Isn't the REAL issue here, the one that lives beyond Terri, the fact that death by starvation and dehydration is an accepted and common practice in every state? Shouldn't we be addressing that and perhaps making the loss of Ms Schiavo stand for something, like humane change? That goes beyond conspiracy theories and constant blame and these never-ending arguments on this forum, it's a matter of real action. And it must be possible to eliminate such a barbaric approach.
We still believe that marriage is a sacred vow, but not when it comes to ending a life that the parents want to be spared.
I hope you understand that position.
And you all wonder why nobody takes anything you say with any credence?
At least make an ATTEMPT to keep in touch with the truth or reality.
You're right. But unfortunately and pathetically, some people have let their lives revolve around these so-called accusations. Some have even put up web sites based on them. That makes it difficult if not impossible to let go. In the long run they have only harmed what they espoused.
I already have been.
And if she is unable to speak for herself, spouses have traditionally been able to act on their behalf. It is only in cases where there is dispute that the courts intervene at all.
For you to say a spouse should not have that right, while complaining about the courts intervening uninvited into people's lives is utter hypocrisy. Do you want a court involved in the decision of family or not?
This is a fundamental structural problem of internet discussion sites in general. People lurch off half-cocked without fully understanding where someone is coming from.
Any judge, with nothing to hide, would have followed thru with the investigations to find out the answer to that question.
What were they so afraid of?
Autopsy ping
Soory, I didn't believe the nurses. And evidently neither did the police.
250 lbs. is more than a 'little chunky' or 'baby fat'. And losing 130 lbs. is more than 'dieting a little'.
This is the first I've heard of this.
On what do you base this accusation?
Some nurse hinted in an affidavit at this (did not declare it flat out as some here pretend---she only swore to a narrow point of claiming to see a vial and on tv embellished--she was let go by the facility).
The ME today said they reviewed these charges and found zero evidence to support this claim.
"No, i never said that, but go ahead and put words into my mouth, I don't care. fact is Living will's or not, No one has the right to determine when their life ends, and no one has the right to end someone else's life. God desides when life ends!"
Oops..Not only do you NOT believe in Living Wills, but you don't have the guts to admit to it...
She was 250 pounds??! How long did it take for her to lose the weight?
Really? Are you suggesting that there are laws currently in effect criminalizing living wills and suicide?
Or are you just advocating the institution of such laws?
Would you feel comfortable with your husband speaking for your life when he has moved on and is in love with a different woman?
Just wrong.
Any way you gussy it up in Sunday's best and put Tammy Faye amounts of lipstick on it.
