YES! This only illustrates the point that Americans are no longer tolerant of those that bash America!! This is awesome news! They can't just sneak back into our hearts, as much as they would like to.

Audience Boos Dixie Chicks at ACM Awards May 22, 7:05 AM EST
Many country music fans aren't ready to forgive the Dixie Chicks' Natalie Maines for comments critical of President Bush: Voters rejected the group's nominations for three Academy of Country Music Awards and the audience booed the mention of their name.
Presenter Vince Gill urged the audience at Wednesday night's show to "Stop it, stop it." He added: "You know who gets blessed when you forgive you."
Maines has been in the country music doghouse since she told a London audience on March 10, before the start of the war in Iraq, that "we're ashamed the president of the United States is from Texas."
...
The Dixie Chicks were a late addition, performing by satellite from their hometown of Austin, Texas.
Maines sat silently as Emily Robison briefly introduced the song.
The boos erupted when Gill named the Dixie Chicks among nominees for entertainer of the year. Gill said afterward that the reaction was more subdued than at last month's Flameworthy Awards. "It was a pretty volatile crowd that time. This one wasn't so bad," he said.
It didn't seem that way to host Reba McEntire.
"It was a pretty big negative response. I don't think it's over," she said after the program.

Presenter Vince Gill urged the audience at Wednesday night's show to "Stop it, stop it." He added: "You know who gets blessed when you forgive you." Where did this idea come from, that we're obliged to forgive impenitent people? It isn't Biblical, certainly.
Beyond that, it is in a way dishonoring. Forgiveness means saying this isn't on your record. But if a person is clinging to something, like a position, behavior, deed, then it is his choice and desire that it BE on his record.
So to "forgive" Mains for saying she was ashamed of President Bush on foreign soil at wartime means saying she has decided that was an immoral thing to do, and has changed her mind on every particular.
Where is the record of that? Where do we see anything much beyond regrets that bad consequences followed her deliberate actions and words?
I respect her moral responsibility enough that I DON'T forgive her.
Dan

He only left his wife and Amy Grant, the so-called Christian singer, left her hubby...so they could be together. No respect there Not entirely accurate. His wife left him and he was very devastated. While Grant's comforting him (they were neighbors) to the extent that she left her husband for Gill is unscriptural and immoral, to accuse him of leaving his wife for her was inaccurate or dishonest.

Heard that. I knew a staff member on Chapman's show on TNN during that time and he said things were ugly, the set was tense, and some of the things Amy said in their screaming fights was decidedly un-Christian.

You realize that I did not make the claim. I was responding to another post.
If you will re-read what I said, I said that I hadn't heard that.

Teller is the one who keeps his mouth shut and never says anything. He's the funny looking one who looks like Joe Lieberman.

Beats me? I figured "When in Rome".......I think I got Mr.Pibb. Yech!
Regional differences all thrown at you day to day can be quite entertaining.
My best experience ever regarding the hassles of corporate flying is with the Doles. The Doles treat everyone better than they expect for themselves.
Mrs.Dole knew that if you feed a pilot you make a friend for life. Bob Dole was pretty nice but reminded you of that worn thin Uncle we all have that forgets things but is just enjoyable to be around.

What {B.S.} this is. We have thousands of illegal aliens pouring into our country routinely, at will, as the President and his party stand in stone silence in the face of this ever escalating epic attack on our borders and our sovereignty. But if a stupid celebrity says something bad about the President, or their party, the Republicans are outraged..This is so damn pathetic, and should be a real eye opener to anyone with a brain. What B.S. this is! We have social issues X, Y, and Z, as both parties stand in stone silence in the face of these attacks upon our land. But if Republicans say something bad about stupid celebrities, folks like Joe get outraged. This is so pathetic, and should be a real eye opener to anyone with a brain.

I remember the first time I ever heard my cousins from Michigan say they wanted a "pop" I really hate that term. Pop. It's just so...stupid.

You left out the foaming-at-the mouth ultra-liberal Michael Moore, who actually got booed at the Academy Awards, of all places.

In his book Unlimited Access, FBI agent Gary Aldrich, who was assigned to the Clinton White House, describes Hillary Clintons instruction to the White House staff to never look at her. When Queen Hillary walks down the hall, youre not supposed to look at her. She doesnt want staff seeing her.

I understand that. I was offering clarification to you since someone had provided inaccurate information to you. I don't know whether the other party was unwittingly inaccurate or was dishonest out of malice toward Grant and Gill.

Reminds me of my two year old who comes to me screaming that he wants his sister to "stop seeing me". I guess some people's sense of well being don't advance beyond the age of two.

I for one hope that the F.U.T.K. message is death kneal for the Twits. Shame T.K. didn't take his moments to tell the Twits what they could shove.......... Also intersting to note that they keep the place dark so you couldn't see all the empty seats at the Twit concert.
