You know, if they had ANY sense, this statement would have read: "I am sincerely sorry for my recent comments. There is no excuse for what I said or the fact that I said those things on foreign soil. I could have expressed fears or misgivings about the possibility of war without degenerating into bashing our president. I'm young, and young people sometimes do and say stupid things. I hope President Bush and our fans can find it in their hearts to forgive me."
At this point, we (conservatives) would essentially be out of ammo. There is nothing so disarming as just admitting you were wrong.
But, Nooooooooo. This statement basically says "I apologize, but I still think I was right - piss on ya."
Natalie, if you're reading this, and you need a new PR guy (and believe me, you do) drop me a line. Bring lots of cash.

I feel that whoever holds that office should be treated with the utmost respect..........
Bullcrap! If ANYONE feels that respect is due, they do NOT spit their slime over someone. Respect is not easily swayed by another's opinion. Got integrity?

"I feel that whoever holds that office should be treated with the utmost respect."That is a LIE. If she felt that way she never would have said what she did. If the other two do not feel that way they need to speak up and fire the great fat one.

Statement from "Gene" to the Dixie Chicks :
I know you worked hard to get to where you were-just before you bad-mouthed your Nation and its President, and I know you have talent and reasonably good "star presence"; but some things are " beyond the beyond ", as we Irish like to say .
When you chose to spit on your Country - for the delectation of an overseas audience - you also spat on your fans here at home; and I doubt any amount of backing and filling and stammering is going to make you acceptable to us again.
Fear not ! The folks on the Left Coast will embrace you like long-lost daughters, and reward you with all sorts of Hollywood perks and goodies...for the rest of your fifteen minute professional lives. Then, having used you, these good folk will cast your drained carcasses aside.
Oh, well. Maybe you can get your day jobs back.

Hmmm.... It sounds like the other two Dixie Chicks are putting some heavy duty pressure on the Fat Dixie Chick. Unfortunately for them, it is too late. The Fat Dixie Chick blew it for the whole group. It's all downhill from now on, girls, no matter how much you make the Fat Dixie Chick do a FAKE grovel.

I just read that apology to my wife, the lovely and talented Foxfire4.
Her response: "As a future mother, I want to see some ass kicked before they start dropping planes on somewhere I'M near!"
Enjoy singing at mall openings, Natalie. See how well it worked out for Tiffany?

Dixie Chicks, if you can handle getting booed off the stage during your next 50 or so "American" engagements, maybe you've got what it takes to recover from your idiocy.
Otherwise, you're pretty much yesterdays news in the minds of patriotic Americans who respect our COUNTRY and PRESIDENT!

"As a concerned American citizen, I apologize to President Bush because my remark was disrespectful. I feel that whoever holds that office should be treated with the utmost respect. We are currently in Europe and witnessing a huge anti-American sentiment as a result of the perceived rush to war. While war may remain a viable option, as a mother, I just want to see every possible alternative exhausted before children and American soldiers' lives are lost. I love my country. I am a proud American."
Translation: OMG we screwed up our careers, will this fix it

this is what they said
"As a concerned American citizen, I apologize to President Bush because my remark was disrespectful.

We are currently in Europe and witnessing a huge anti-American sentiment as a result 18 resolutions and 12 year rush to war. While war may remain a viable option But only if liberal democrat is in office, as a mother, I just want to see every possible alternative exhausted before Iraqi's are freed by American soldiers' I Loath my country. Now we've got a clarification of a clarification. Keep trying, chicky. You're just digging yourself more and more into a hole.
Maybe on the third try you might just summon up a little of that stage energy to put in a kind word for your country. I won't hold my breath, though. No one will believe you by then, anyhow.
Now go eat some more country-fried brains with cream gravy.

Too late! You waited too long to make what appears to be a forced and unconvincing apology. Your agent must have got to you and told you how much damage you have done to your careers. Who cares how much anti-American hate you found there! You are supposed to defend us, not join in trashing the Prez!!
On his national radio show today, Hannity just broke your latest records on air, saying he will never listen to you idiots again Nor will I. You are advised to stay in France or Belgium with the rest of the Euroweenies.! See if you can convince Alex Baldwin, Sean Penn, Madonna, Sheen, Garifalo and BS to permanently join you there. Take all of the rest of Hollyweirds as well!

"We are currently in Europe and witnessing a huge anti-American sentiment as a result of the perceived rush to war."So she stills percieves a "rush to war". They are more like the Dipsy Bitches. I mean, she ADDED to the anti-US sentiment with her pathetic applause line.
Man hating little troll.

In other words:
"As a concerned American citizen, I apologize to President Bush because my remark was disrespectful. I feel [but don't THINK] that whoever holds that office should be treated with the utmost respect [so long as he's a draft-dodging, pot-smoking, womanizing Democrat traitor]. We are currently in Europe and witnessing a huge anti-American sentiment as a result of the perceived rush to war [and I just thought I'd pander to it]. While war may remain a viable option, as a mother [let me capitalize on that blessed institution], I just want to see every possible alternative exhausted before children and American soldiers' lives are lost. I love my country. I am a proud American. [I'm just not proud that this Republican president is from Texas.]"

That's not an apology to GWB. She's saying the Office should be respected not the person in it! Forget it! Keep your piehole shut and take your medicine until real sincerity comes out of it!

The Crawford Dairy Queen will probably have it as a featured item for the hi-filuting New York press the next time George comes home...

"We are currently in Europe and witnessing a huge anti-American sentiment as a result of the perceived rush to war. Rush, hell. Still using the buzzwords of the commies, huh? How many years has this been building? Since she was in diapers, no less. The next apology will contain the word, 'unilateral,' no doubt.
