"We are currently in Europe and witnessing a huge anti-American sentiment as a result of the perceived rush to war.

This might have worked if she had said it immediately after the incident but her other non-apology apology pretty much ruined it. (Shades of Trent Lott)

Its too late. The damage has been done.

I hope the cheap standing O was worth it.

We are currently in Europe and witnessing a huge anti-American sentiment as a result of the perceived rush to war.

So come home, we are experiencing huge anti-French and German sentiment here, because their efforts to prevent this country from protecting our citizens and freeing the poor suffering people of Iraq. Your apology is not enough.

Even my eleven year old is starting to get better at the "engage the brain before engaging the mouth" mantra. Some adults haven't learned this yet.

Natalie, I'm ashamed that I just bought your latest CD a couple of weeks ago.

Actually, IMHO it is nice to see someone recognize their error publicly. Whether it is genuine regret or not remains to be seen. Being optimistic, I always give the benefit of the doubt.

While war may remain a viable option, as a mother, I just want to see every possible alternative exhausted before children and American soldiers' lives are lost. I love my country. I am a proud American."

Did Mike Farrell write this for her?

A person's 1st gut thought or reaction is almost always their true thought, feeling, or answer. That was her's, too late Dixie Chick. By the way, why don't people like yourself and your Hollywood cronies have the cajones to say this stuff in the American press? You always have to go overseas...
