Dixie Chicks Latest Apology (Waffles Like A Belgium)

Statement from Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks March 14, 2003
"As a concerned American citizen, I apologize to President Bush because my remark was disrespectful. I feel that whoever holds that office should be treated with the utmost respect. We are currently in Europe and witnessing a huge anti-American sentiment as a result of the perceived rush to war. While war may remain a viable option, as a mother, I just want to see every possible alternative exhausted before children and American soldiers' lives are lost. I love my country. I am a proud American."

Is Europe big on country music?Yeah, europeans attend American concerts wearing levis, Nike tennis shoes, American sunglasses, drinking Coke and eating a McDonalds hamburger while shouting "Death to America". LOL!

I hope she gets a big ole Texas demonstration expressing opinions about her behavior if she slinks back home.

I seriously doubt she wrote this or that this is how she really feels. This sounds more like a press writer wrote this. More likely, what she said on her own voice on stage are her true feelings. They are trying for some major damage control now.

Well...if you're such an American Natalie...Cancel all your dates and come home and be an American, not playing music to Krauts and Cheese eating surrender monkeys.
But that would cost you money wouldn't it. Too late...time to take out the trash.

You know, if they had ANY sense, this statement would have read: "I am sincerely sorry for my recent comments. There is no excuse for what I said or the fact that I said those things on foreign soil. I could have expressed fears or misgivings about the possibility of war without degenerating into bashing our president. I'm young, and young people sometimes do and say stupid things. I hope President Bush and our fans can find it in their hearts to forgive me."
At this point, we (conservatives) would essentially be out of ammo. There is nothing so disarming as just admitting you were wrong.
But, Nooooooooo. This statement basically says "I apologize, but I still think I was right - piss on ya."
Natalie, if you're reading this, and you need a new PR guy (and believe me, you do) drop me a line. Bring lots of cash.

Yeah, europeans attend American concerts wearing levis, Nike tennis shoes, American sunglasses, drinking Coke and eating a McDonalds hamburger while shouting "Death to America". LOL! Yeah you have to love that hypocrisy. French elites dismiss our culture constantly yet the 4 out of the top 5 movies in France are American films.

Bet your behind she was "ordered" to apologize by band maters or more likely record label.
The capitalist US society is what made these whores, for Christs sake. I hope the same system ruins 'em. Maybe they can have it both ways.

Bullcrap! If ANYONE feels that respect is due, they do NOT spit their slime over someone. Respect is not easily swayed by another's opinion. Got integrity?

Too much backlash, yep. I hope the next time I hear of the Dixie Chicks performing, it's at the Peanut, Pine, and Pork Festival in Chuckatuck, Va.What on Earth do you have against the good folk of Chuckatuck, VA that you would inflict the Dixie Skanks on them?

Sheppard Smith on Fox just said "the Dixie Chicks are in Trouble, have you heard what one of the little pigletts said"
Pretty damn accurate, I'd say.

"I feel that whoever holds that office should be treated with the utmost respect."That is a LIE. If she felt that way she never would have said what she did. If the other two do not feel that way they need to speak up and fire the great fat one.
To: faithincowboys
It was reported they sold almost $50M in advance ticket sales....how about turning the profits over to the VA administration....?
