BB King was just asked about political comments during the war and he said "I think that there are going to be alot of things said tonight that I don't agree with."
Way to go B.B!

Just remembered we did see Roy Orbison at the Pabst Stage at Summerfest in the eighties.

I watched on mute with except when Nora J. was on and she took home all the marbles she was the best. I had my c.d. playing nice music the rest of the time.

is Mayer really only 16? How old is he?
I don't know.. Someone here said that... I thought he looked older than that in his appearance tonight..

I am no Norah expert, but she did a decent job on a TRUE standard, Hoagy Carmichael's "The Nearness of You." Like you said, back in the day, they took a good song and it became a standard. Now we listen to whiny self-styled "songwriters" singing "songs" that are forgotten before the CD cools off at the manufacturer. BUT if the cd SELLS, the artists gets the songwriter/publishing royalties, which are almost always greater than the artist's cut.

Funny how the people at Sheryl Crowe's website don't mind her hijacking the Grammy's but they don't want anyone hijacking their stupid site.

This is so cool. Looks like Saddam was paying attention to the Grammys. Anyone read Arabic?

She is a very fetching gal, cute and feminine.
Quite a contrast from the skanky Sheryl Crow.

I was going to list the Trashmen among those bands I saw recently (1999 at the Las Vegas Grind). Still rocking.
I caught Eric Burdon somewhere else and it was also a good show.

Biggest concert regret. Being too young (by less than a year) to see Roy Orbison. He died 5 days later.
