BB King was just asked about political comments during the war and he said "I think that there are going to be alot of things said tonight that I don't agree with."
Way to go B.B!

I thought the anti-punk was Michael J. Fox... oh wait... he is the anti-Elvis. I see your punk credentials are in order....

Ermmm...she's a an amateur, a decent one, but there's a rather large gulf between someone like that and a professional.
Condi could be just as polished as the next professional pianist. I never said she could be Nora Jones with singing? I was saying Condi knows music, can go up on a stage and impress a large musically knowledgable crowd...now reverse that with Sheryl Crowe with her vast knowledge in geopolitics. She would get laughed out of a war room.

It looks like since they don't want the artists to protest the war, they're making a statement by protesting being entertaining tonight.

I think the orders went down that all protest were of to be non speechmaking type of mentions and that Durst was the only one who didnt play ball.

I like Miracles simply because it marked the return of Marty Balin and changed the Starship back into an Airplane. (sorta)

The Clash's SANDINISTA... also, an embarassment considering how the vaunted Sandinista turned out... Considering Sandinista was recorded almost completely ad-hoc in the studio as a massive jam session, it is pretty impressive.

Yeah, Charley don't surf... how original...

I just realized... I haven't watch the Grammys since Natalie Cole swept every category for playing kareoke with her deadfather.
When was that? 1992? For a child of the pop culture generation, I've got quite a streak going here (patting self on back)...

That was one of the highlights for me was Yo-Yo doing 'Rockabye Sweet Baby James' Just getting here - when was Yo-Yo Ma's performance? I'm on the west coast, and IIRC, we get the delayed rerun. I think. I LOVE Yo-Yo Ma. First time I heard him was in Immortal Beloved, his performance was dubbed into the soundtrack, opening measures of "Ode to Joy." Sublime.

Did you notice they clap for anyone who is black or looks gay? Sort of obligatory, I guess, though no one knows who they are. Lionel Hampton got little applause and there was NO applause for the guy from the Coasters.
To: weegee
so far I have seen Sheryl with her guitar strap and limp diskit with his comment , BOnnie rait with her peace comment, and possibly coldplay with something we weren't able to detect
I am pretty shocked over the lack of rebellion

Was Josh Groban up for anything tonight? I was at a company Mardi Gras party and missed the Grammy's.

Please. Both your points about the song being anti-American & p!ssing on the flag are highly inaccurate.
Hey, all you have to do is read the lyrics to "Born in the USA" to realize it's Anti-American. I had the mental acuity to do so when I was 16. Admittedly, the album cover thing is purely speculative.
If you wanna see some real p!ssing check out the Who's "Who's Next" 1971 album cover.
Hey, I own that one too. Honestly, it was finding out that people like Bruce Stringbean was lefty and that Pete Townsend was a homo-pedophile that made me swear off the whole rock music industry. Too many freaks and creeps to be supporting them with my hard-earned $$. I haven't bought a pop-music CD in years.

Now, that's just entirely untrue. Most of them have been protesting being entertaining for a LOT longer than just tonight.

Springsteen was alright until he met that Marxist flabass Dave Marsh.

White Rabbit and Someone To Love. Grace stole the songs when she jumped ship to Jefferson Airplane. Many people assume that the "Slick" songwriting credit is Grace, not Darby.

maybe that is why he looked so scared
if those were the orders his career may have just went down the toilet
bonnie rait has a little more backing and power than limp diskit I would think
