We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail! [President Bush]
Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
Still a lot of snow out there, though it has melted down from 20 1/2" of snowpak to 17". More melting due today.
Donna Brazile lectures members of the Criminal Party yesterday, telling them they had better listen to Al Sharpton.
The left is believing President Bush is making more allusions to faith in his speeches and is concerned about that.
And Canada says it will not join in a "solo" (non-UN authorized) attack on Iraq.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

You say the same thing I do with unformatted posts: Paragraphs are our friends. And then I format it for them. I'm um, discussing heatedly with a Pat Buchanan supporter.

Whether you read this tonight or in the morning, I wanted to tell you that I used to work in a grocery store as the assistant produce manager. It was a little "Hinky Dinky" store in Nebraska and I was just 19 years old. I kind of liked it, but most people I worked with were union members and seemed like professional whiners. Do you get that a lot?

You know what his response was to what I said? He said, "It's MSNBC's fault. Take it up with them. I just cut and paste them." I didn't format it for them, but someone else did. He never thanked them.

I worked retail to put myself through college. I actually worked in a pharmacy in a drugstore. There are some pretty interesting people who work retail, we don't have unions in Utah for the most part. The worst whiner I worked with was a pharmacist. He was so lazy and would spend more time trying to get out of work than it would have taken to actually just do the job. It was annoying, but he got his comeuppance when the head pharmacist job came open and he didn't get the job (he thought he should have based on seniority.) Of course, all that did was make him lazier and more resentful.

Have you ever tried pecan crusted fried chicken?
Coat the chicken in egg wash then in slightly ground pecans.
Most excellent.

I made pistachio crusted chicken tonight. I just used pistachios instead of pecans. It was excellent.

Oh, does that bring back a fond childhood memory.
Remember we had a large family and took many camping vacations? Well one year we went to New Orleans.
No scrimping this time. We went to Brennans and ate Trout Almondine! Oh, heaven. We finished with Bananas Foster.
What a thing to give to a 10 year old. I still remember that buttery crust taste!

Is that dish from San Saba? I may have had something like that at one of the pecan festivals down there.

Sorry to be so late in getting back here. It's been quite an evening. I stayed at the office til hubby got back there ..... and then we called his sister to get all the details about m-i-l. Then, to our surprise, we were able to call m-i-l at the hospital and talk to her. She sounded quite good, which was a pleasant surprise. Then we called hubby's s-i-l to fill her in on what is going on. We finally got home about 11:15 ...... hubby made a small detour and picked up some Krispy Kremes ..... comfort food ....... *grins*
We had things to discuss and tend to .... such as faxing a copy of Mom's living will to the hospital. Cheery task there ...... NOT! And since it was too late to call the kids, I sent them a long email to bring them up to date. And now I'm exhausted.
Btw, just to set the record straight ...... I am not going to have a nervous breakdown ...... I simply don't have time for it ...... *grins*
Guennie ~~~ I believe it was you who posted something several weeks ago about God being bigger than any problem life deals us. That's a thought we are hanging on to for dear life right now ..... it has been a tremendous comfort to us.
I love you all! Thanks for your prayers and your concern!

Btw, the next couple of days are going to be very hectic at best ...... would have been even without this latest wrinkle in our lives. I will try to check in each day but don't worry if I'm not here much.
