We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail! [President Bush]
Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
Still a lot of snow out there, though it has melted down from 20 1/2" of snowpak to 17". More melting due today.
Donna Brazile lectures members of the Criminal Party yesterday, telling them they had better listen to Al Sharpton.
The left is believing President Bush is making more allusions to faith in his speeches and is concerned about that.
And Canada says it will not join in a "solo" (non-UN authorized) attack on Iraq.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

There was an article in my newspaper today about the eastern storms, the author lives in Virginia. He said he lives just a couple of blocks away from a Safeway. He said he saw people walking away from Safeway on Saturday and asked them how much food was there. The answer: Not much. How much food does your store keep on hand? It sounds like only a day or two's worth...

Better busy than make work, in my humble opinion. Time goes faster. But then again, I love being in the kitchen feeding lots of folks, I may be weird. ;>)

An average grocery load(order) is $30,000.00 a delivery. Produce loads average $12,000.00 a delivery. Your money maker in a grocery store is the meat dept...they have sales of between 35,000 to 40,000 a week..
I walked by the bread section on the way out of the store tonight....and it was empty!

The answer: Not much.Blame it on Just-In-Time inventory. Lots of stores have very small stock rooms anymore. JIT doesn't work when there are problems in the supply chain.

In a snowstorm.....after people buy the milk and bread.....they head for the junk food. People were running into my store Sunday in a snowstorm ......to get chips and snacks..

Produce is only allowed to order enough for three days...So if something comes in today....it is to be out of the backroom by Friday.

Night Dog. Do you go into work at the normal time tomorrow? (Boy am I nosy today. :)

I'm arguing via Instant Messenger with a developer about IP. Such fun. :(
Terry Moran, ABC News: "Ari, on the U.N. resolution, a second U.N. resolution, one of the forces that's at work, it seems, is increasing rancor and nastiness within the Western alliance. You've got newspapers here showing France and Germany as weasels at the Security Council, people calling France surrender monkeys. Then you've got a lot of anti-Americanism on the streets over in France."
Ari Fleischer, White House Press Secretary: "Are you asking me if I can be responsible for the American press?"

The best thread is the Canteen.
The ATRW is in the top three though!

Good night Dog!
Funny cartoon, Raven. France revisits the Maginot line...Why not?? It sure worked the first time - for Germany!

Mona Charen's Useful Idiots will debut this Sunday in the New York Times bestseller list at #6. Great news!

Trill came home and I found out that I was cooking for her, so I whipped up a low carb chicken fried chicken for her. I took one chicken breast and butterflied it out to cover an entire plate. I faked out the breading so that it looked like it had a lot more breading on than it really did.
It turned out great.

That is a priceless response by Ari.
You can tell he's had it with the press corps, can't you? The other day ABC (maybe Terry Moran) asked him something about whether they could protect soldiers from what Saddam might do with chemical or biological weapons with his back to the wall. Ari said, "Is ABC now acknowledging that Saddam has those weapons?"
GRRR. I have been on a thread a few times this evening about Dennis Miller on Donahue. The guy who posted it didn't bother to format so it's just one big squirt of text. I said the standard FR line: "paragraphs are our friends." A couple of other people also politely chided him for not taking time to format. He lashed out at us three and our "sanctimonious ingratitude." I finally had it with him and snitched to the admin moderator.
