Good Morning.
I got all comfy on the couch to watch the speech and went to sleep before it even came on. I am relying on ya'll to tell me how well GW did. Did he get standing ovations? Did the RATS roll their eyes? What all happened?

My goodness, you people are early risers.
I've been up since 2 am, but didn't think anyone would be around even now.

I posted this last night, but it got no comment from ATRW. Maybe it's worth posting again. This is a pro-US/anti-French rally in the Ivory Coast.
![](http://rantburg.com/images/ivorycoastdemo.jpe)
This picture is from the Ivory Coast where there have been anti-French demonstrations since Saturday. Here's a quote, but click on the pic to go to the full report.
The daily also defended massive, often violent anti-French protests that have rocked the main city of Abidjan since Saturday, January 25, with attacks on French symbols and institutions including the embassy, schools, the Air France office and businesses. Ivorians should remain mobilized, it said, adding that only struggle pays. And in a more directly inflammatory tone, it called 2003 the year of resistance, adding: Ivorians know what they need to do ... remain in the streets.
By the way, notice the "USA is better" sign. Are these people in touch with those South Koreans we heard about?

The SOTU last night was awesome. God has blessed this country with a president like GWB. My dad and I were clapping at the TV after some of the things he said (ban PBA, his message to the people of Iraq, etc...)
Would post more but if I don't leave now I'll be late for school. Just wanted to say hi...

I suppose this may be a dissenting voice here, but the speech did not convince me either., re: Iraq. (not that I am in favor of the near traitorous way the demonKrats whined). I don't think in a Republic it is too much to ask for the people to insist on evidence from their elected leaders before their sons and daughters risk death.
Yes, I would like more of a smoking gun before the guns start smoking. I agree that based on Blik's report they are in material breach, but I want to see the evidence of Al-Q links and that they are indeed building up WMD now.

Can anyone get any factual info on whether Chelsea still has SS protection?
I was under the impression that altho it was extended, it was supposed to have ended.
Our Family Member (the continuing saga) has received conflicting info.
It might make a difference legally, altho she probably will not bring it up--since it might make it look as if she's pushing & might irritate the other side.
She wanted to know if I could find out. I am already very late in leaving for my twice-weekly parent visit in San Antonio (1 1/2 hr away), because of our emailing back & forth. If any of you can find out the true SS situation, I would appreciate it greatly. I will be gone all day.
Thanks.

Oh, good morning! I'm still overwhelmed at this President of ours. Am sure that even a so-so President would look good on the heels of that lying, cheating piece of trash he followed, but DARN IT! the man is just awesome!

Morning all! I have been so busy since Sunday that I have not had time to sit down, never mind write anything. I am leaving this afternoon w/Mr. DJ88 to go to Amelia Island for 5 blessed days of PEACE AND QUIET. So, I just wanted to share a few things with you all and let you know that I am still around and breathing!
1. I am absolutely thrilled that my Bucs won the Superbowl! I am still in shock....I still can't get my jaw off the floor. Not only was it a great game, it was absolutely unbelievable how they won that game. Tampa Bay is now being called: "Chuckyville".
Although Malcolm Glazier deserves a lot of credit for getting Jon Gruden to Tampa Bay, he's still such a little elf-like dork. A cute dork, but definitely a dork. Someone needs to teach him how to say something more than "Go Bucs! Go Bucs! Go Bucs!" We learned that years ago. He would (and we would) benefit tremendously if he read the book Speaking in Public for Dummies.
2. We sold our house, I fired my agent, I hired a lawyer (real estate) and she is never to speak to me again or else she will lose her real estate license. I suppose she missed that class where they talk about what you should not do as a realtor, or face FREC (Florida Real Estate Commission): 1. Never, never ever intimate that your boss and your client's buyer had some type of "love affair" in the past.
2. Never slander your client's buyer's name, especially if it's another real estate attorney.
3. Don't call the person who bought your client's house names.
4. When you are told not to have anymore contact whatsoever with you ex-client, don't email them.
5. Never underestimate the force of DJ88's Hummingbird Squadron.
The President's State of the Union's speech was great last night. Juan Williams made my jaw drop (again) by saying that he was touched by the President's so-called "humane side". Where has he been for the last two years??????
Ted Kennedy made the remark after the State of the Union address that President Bush needs to address the American people why we would go to war with Iraq, not Congress. HUH? If that wasn't stupid enough for us, he came out with another humdinger this morning when he said that the President needs to tell Congress why we need to go to War with Iraq. HUH? In less than 12 hours, he was able to prove to the world that he is even more of an idiot today than he was yesterday at 8:59:03PM.
Did someone drag Hillary around the Beltway before she got there? She looked like she just woken up. Well....hm. They say vampires sleep during the day....
Well, I gotta go pack some stuff but I'll try to get on before I leave. I miss you all....:-)
