I live in Gainesville, FL, where we have a lot of band activity. Has her group come down here?

Good Lord! She -- and the band -- are brilliant! Are they having trouble getting gigs? I'm sure thousands of FReepers are in a position to set them up with rapturous audiences (no religious pun intended -- I like them for their chops and your daughter's smooth voice) ... This is awful to hear, because they are so wonderful to hear. If the lack of gigs is the case, please FReepmail me! I have a thousand-seat venue they can sell out tomorrow!

"44 out of 39"? Huh?
Have no idea what to make of this post, but loved "Kiss me."

I hope you are not offended if I say I find your daughter very cute. Love the band's music and videos. Hope you and she find good ideas here.

Wow...never knew they were a christian band....the song "Kiss me" was a huge pop hit on it's own, and as the theme song for that cute teen movie(don't remember the name). Pretty cool..you have to be very proud.

Does your daughter know what the song "There She Goes" by the Las, which put your daughter's band on the map in America (since they did the cover version), does she know what the lyrics are about?

How does one get
"44 out of 39 reviews on amazon.com are 5 stars)"?
And just what are you asking for? Isn't it better that your daughter, if you are who you say you are, speak from her own heart and mind?

Congratulations. Always good to see a local band make it. Leigh has a very lovely voice, and they all display quite a lot of talent. I also like the fact that the previous album(don't know anything about the latest album, yet) was produced by Steve Taylor, whose presence has been sorely missed from the music scene.

I think you might have opened up a Panora's Box by mentioning that your daughter is lead singer in that band. What will happen is that you will be sent tons of songs by folks here on this forum in the hopes that your daughter's band will perform them. Personally I think taking advantage of your appearance here is rude. BTW, I have written two funny songs written that your daughter's band want to consider:
Drugstore Cowboy and
The Suing of Dan McGrew. Oh, and I also wrote a dirty version of Big Bad John that would be too risque for your daughter's band but maybe you know one of the producers about the upcoming biopic of John Holmes where they could use it.
So remember, folks, don't annoy formershyfatboy with your song lyrics.
I'm A Drugstore Cowboy,
And Mighty Mean
I Wear Cowboy Boots
And Designer Jeans
I go where Men are Tough
And None are Meek,
I buy my Gear
At the Cowboy Boutique
etc. etc. etc.

I didn’t know they were a Christian band, especially singing songs like “kiss me” and “There she goes again”
