AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 655) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | November 6, 2002 | All of Us

Posted on 11/06/2002 4:31:08 AM PST by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

THE SENATE HAS BEEN LIBERATED!!!

THE DASHCLEAN CAPTIVITY HAS COME TO AN END!!!

In the pre-game analysis yesterday, the media pundits, the media talking heads, the leftist prognasticators who are all visionary gave the following pronouncements:

The demoflops would either take control of the House or reduce the GOP majority.

The demoflops would hold on to, or increase, their majority in the Senate.

The demoflops would take a majority of the state houses.

The demoflops would win in the state of Florida.

Now that the game has been played, and the contest settled, it is time to look at the scoreboard.

The headline in today's Washington Pravda says it all:

GOP WINS BOTH HOUSES

1. House - demoflops FAILED. The GOP has at least maintained their current majority. The current status is:

GOP - 226
Criminal Party - 204
Can't Decide Which Party - 1

There are still four races that have not been decided. These are:

CO 07 - GOP leading 48-46% with 88% counted
LA 05 - headed to runoff, 3 GOP candidates with 66% of the vote
NM 01 - GOP losing 49-51% with 98% counted
TX 23 - GOP losing 47-52% with 74% counted

2. Senate - demoflops FAILED. The GOP has gained absolute majority. The widow Carnahan has lost her race, so applying Missouri law, Daschle is no longer the Illigitimate Majority Leader, and resumes his correct title of Minority Leader.

LATE BREAKING - MINNESOTA CALLED FOR COLEMAN!

GOP - 51
Criminal Party - 46
Can't Decide Which Party - 1

There are still two races left to call:

Louisiana - headed to runoff, 3 GOP candidate with 51% of the vote South Dakota - Thune(R) leads by 949 votes with 99% counted

3. Governors - demoflops FAILED. The GOP retains a majority of the state houses.

GOP - 26
Criminal Party - 19
Can't Decide Which Party - 0

There are still five races to decide:

AL - Incumbent demoflop leads by 3,139 with 100% counted. Likely recount.
AZ - GOP losing 44-47% with 99% counted. Likely recount.
OK - GOP losing by 6,357 votes. Likely recount.
OR - GOP losing 47-48% with 76% counted.
VT - GOP leading 45-42% (13% for 8 minor candidates) with 96% counted.

The demoflops hoped to legitimize Carnahan. They failed.

The demoflops hoped to win in Minnesota with Mondale. They failed.

The demoflops hoped to cashier Jeb Bush in Florida. They failed. JEB WINS BY SEVEN POINTS! NO RECOUNTS, HANGING CHADS, OR MISSING ELECTRONS HERE!!

The demoflops hoped the voters in Northern Virginia and Tidewater Virginia would willingly vote to raise their own taxes. They failed - on both counts.

The demoflops hoped to make the election a referendum that would denounce the President. The President picked up the gauntlet. THE DEMOFLOPS FAILED IN EVERY CATEGORY POSSIBLE!

IT IS A COMPLETE DEFEAT FOR THE CRIMINAL PARTY.

Tomorrow - we get down to business. But...

TODAY - WE RELISH OUR FULL VICTORY.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

More on the VA sales tax/ "transportation" initiative... I hear now that the Governor ("Slick2" - that's a great one, Mr. Chairman!) is absolving himself of responsibility. Maybe he'll get away with it, but I'm not sure. Either way, it's horrid leadership.

By contrast, check out what Jeb's facing in FLA:

Education gets a boost: Class caps, pre-K win

...Bush had urged voters to reject the class-size initiative, Amendment 9, warning that its passage would force him to make either one of two unappetizing choices: endorse billions of dollars of higher taxes or support deep budget cuts. Voters also overwhelmingly passed another education measure opposed by the governor -- Amendment 11, which will create a board of governors to oversee Florida's 11 public universities. A third education measure, Amendment 8, which will make prekindergarten available to all 4-year-olds throughout Florida for no cost, easily won passage. Bush supported that initiative, which was championed by Miami-Dade Mayor Alex Penelas.
Unlike Slick2 in VA, Bush was upfront and clear about all this in advance, outlining the pros/cons and consequences of each.

Ironically, South FLA voted itself a 1/2-a-penny hike for mass transit. They need it, but they don't need a higher sales tax. Oh well. At least down there the developers have already been smited. The Governor had nothing to do with it. (story here: Voters back tax for transit)

I don't much like referendums. They've done some good things, such as we saw yesterday in CA and AZ rejecting bi-lingal education. On the whole, they are an escape clause for politicians to avoid responsibility, just as Slick2 is doing in VA. Politicians use public referendums to dump bills and moves they don't want to be held responsible for, or that they want to get rid of for political cover.

The idea of the referendum/initiative is a circular argument. The voters must act because their representatives whom they've elected won't... Uh huh. They have weakened representative government, and loosened democracy by making it arbitrary and susceptible to political sway and minority and factional influence.

And we already know from Sioux Falls newspaper articles of efforts to fraudulantly manipulate voter registrations on Indian Reservations - the Sioux Nation was specifically mentioned, but the Cheyennes, why wouldn't they be probable targets also?

Seems the demoflops intended to use the fraudulant voter rolls so long as they were not purged by Election Day - and since they were only discovered last week, there wasn't enough time.

Now we need to make sure it doesn't stick!

Harold Ford making it clear on Fox that if Gephardt runs for minority leader, he WILL be challenged.

I think Harold Ford is dangerous. He is able to sound reasonable and middle-of-the-road when he wants to get something, but he is a leftist, big-time!

Gebhardt is darn dangerous too! I think this is part of the internal finger-pointing of the demoflops.

Hi, friends! Just wanted to drop by and let ya all know I am still kicking around in fine form. And for the first time, I am FReeping at work [!] but I wouldn't say it will be an everyday occurance.

And also: YEE-HAH, the democrats are out of power! Rush said don't gloat but it feels so damn good! I attribute it to the button I made and wore yesterday that said: "DASCHLE FOR MINORITY LEADER" and whattayaknow if it didn't work!

Anyhoo, hope everybody is safe and sound, the place I was using to access FR was a state [democrat-controlled] office and when they saw what I was doing [trashing democrats] they said "No more for you!" Talk about mean-spirited liberals, eh? I shall return when I can, everybody take care and savor our victory!

The RAT purge has begun. MacAuliffe should be gone by the end of the week(I think he's out by tomorrow night), which is really a shame since he's so incompetent. Gephardt will be out as minority leader in January, and Lil' Tommy is going to be challenged for Senate leadership. But this is merely rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. As long as x42 and 97 are calling the shots, the RATS will continue to founder.
