AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 654) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | November 5, 2002 | All of Us

Posted on 11/05/2002 4:10:06 AM PST by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail! [President Bush]

Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

ELECTION DAY!! DO NOT FORGET TO VOTE!!

In 2000, it was decided that Democrats should vote on Wednesday. Not enought took advantage of that offer, so this year, to cut down on lines in polling places, something new will be tried.

Through special arrangement with certain folks in Canada - who, because of the extent of their magnanimity wish to remain nameless - it is now possible to dedicate special polling places just for the use of Democrats.

Democrats, think of this as your own special voting district. Republicans are to vote in the United States - no Republicans whatsover will be allowed to vote in Canada today.

On the other hand, Democrats should take the opportunity to drive north of the border and vote there. No lines - gone will be the complaints of having to wait to vote. No polling monitors - you can vote as many times as you want. You will be able to come home refreshed with the knowledge that you were able to cast thousands, even tens of thousands of votes for your candidate - and no one will so much as hassle you.

So don't delay. The north beckons. If you are a Democrat, hop in your car, drive north, cross the border, and vote. In fact, so good is this program, there are Republicans who will be more than glad - once they have cast their vote in America, because this special offer is not open to them - to drive you and other voting age (in other words, anyone who can recognize a crayon) members of your family (you will have to make your own arrangements to transport dead people) into Canada to your special polling places. (This offer, however, is only one way - you will have to make your own arrangements to return to America).

Democrats - Canada. That's where your vote should be.

[Good only on November 5, 2002. Not good with any other offer, and may not be exercised by Republicans. Offer applies to any definition of family that may be provided by a card carrying Democrat. For further details, see the back of your Rice Krispies box - they might be there. Certain other restrictions apply. No actual guarantee of voting ability is made or warranted. No ballots will be cast on behalf of the Democrat voter by the Republican. If, in fact, you are a Democrat, and you could not actually vote in Canada, complaints will be taken on November 4, 2002. No Canadians were harmed during the preparation of this offer.]

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

You should check out this link and see how the Republicans are all over the Dems in South Dakota. Tom Daschle is just about the only Democratic politician representing that state at any level.

Yikes! Thune's lead just was cut in half in a rather short time. There's still over 10% left to report in and his lead is less than 1,000.

Jim Talent is saying in his speech,

I've thought a lot about this race, and I thank GOD FOR THE GLORY! He thanked God many times in this speech!!!

When the local CBS reporter took over, he said, "Jim Talent didn't say one thing about any issues at all."

Now local anchor in practically in tears reporting that Mondale has probably lost Minnesota! "According to trends, the Republicans have the Senate!"

Per FOX News .....

WASHINGTON — The Bush administration will submit to the U.N. Security Council by Wednesday morning a revised resolution that would force Iraq to disarm, Fox News has learned.

Sources at the U.S. Mission to the United Nations told Fox News that they: "Expect to introduce the final draft resolution tomorrow morning."

A diplomatic source told Fox News the U.S. has French approval for its resolution and the language on material breach has not changed.

A U.S. official confirmed that Secretary of State Colin Powell has convinced the French to agree to the new U.S. text. The U.S. is not 100 percent sure what the Russians will do and the Chinese are not expected to be a problem — probably an abstention.

After the draft is introduced, expected to take place around 10:30 a.m., a vote is to take place in the Security Council within 48 hours. This means that the vote on the resolution could take place on Friday.

Even though the proposed revision contains some changes to reflect the views of other nations, it does not handcuff President Bush, an official said.

With news of the Republican victories to take the House and Senate, I wonder if President Bush's resolution will be taken more seriously and respectful.

That's what I'm thinking. Frankly, I would dearly love to have him go on tv at 8:00 in the morning and announce that the bombing has started.

A Davis win is much better for California than a Simon win. Simon would have only served to take the blame for all the billions of dollars of terrible problems that Davis created. If Simon had won, within 2 years he would have been blamed for the terrible prolems California faces.

This was an interesting race. Bush and Rowe was hoping Davis would win. McAuliffe, the Clintons, Gore and Daschle were all hoping for a Simon win.

The race in California went exactly as I predicted. Simon has to be very very dumb. I wrote post after post saying that the Davis strategy was to drive the race to the point where only the Democrat and Republican bases voted. It may be that Davis did not get the entire Democrat base. But he got enough to win.

Simon tried to run a race in which he attacked Davis. That can not work.

Carl Rowe showed tonight the validity of his strategy. He chose moderate Republicans to run in Democrat states. Had he chosen right wing ideologs every state race would have turned out like California.

If you have read any of my posting over time you understand where Dubya and Rowe were coming from. To win in democratic states Repubicans must get Democrats to vote for them. To get Democrats to vote for you, you must say things that attract Democrats.

That is why Thune, Talent, and Coleman are going to win. What bush did was elect 3 RINO's. And we will get hundreds of conservative judges because he did.

California Republicans were so elated to nominate a conservative. ... but what they will get 4 more years of liberal government.

Bush worked for RINOs that gave him the senate. IT will get tax cuts, homeland defense, and conservative judges.

What many republicans must learn how to do is use the left to enact the agenda of the right. It is the only way to get to where you want to go.

Had the republicans nominated Riordan the Republicans would have swept California. Some of those that would have been elected would have been conservative. But all, all, all, did I mention all, went down in California defeat.

Bush and Rowe have taught us how to win. I hope some more of us have learned how it is done.

I think South Dakota is ours! Thune's lead just jumped to over 3,000. So far 767 out of 844 precincts are reporting. Looking good!

I wish some of the NC FReepers who were so opposed to Dole would believe you. There was no one else in NC who could have beat Bowles .... especially with his ties to x42 and also all of his money.

I just hope that the victory of moderates is one step of the journey of incrementalism and is not the destination. So many people here seem to think that we can suddenly turn the clock back 40-50 years at one time but that just won't happen. You have to do it in little pieces ..... let everyone get used to the new "standard" and then move a bit more to the right. Today should help with that process!

People have been saying tonight that this marks the end of Al Gore's hopes for a run at the presidency. I think if anyone is political toast, it's Tom Daschle. If he were to run for national office, what the heck could he say? "I tried to stop that runaway train, but I got flattened!"

Amen!

Someone on another thread just brought up a quote from the 2000 convention ........

"they have not led. We will!"

And one of my favorites ....... "the wheel has turned ..... it is time for them to go."

Folks, we have shown them the door tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!
