We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail! [President Bush]
Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
ELECTION DAY!! DO NOT FORGET TO VOTE!!
In 2000, it was decided that Democrats should vote on Wednesday. Not enought took advantage of that offer, so this year, to cut down on lines in polling places, something new will be tried.
Through special arrangement with certain folks in Canada - who, because of the extent of their magnanimity wish to remain nameless - it is now possible to dedicate special polling places just for the use of Democrats.
Democrats, think of this as your own special voting district. Republicans are to vote in the United States - no Republicans whatsover will be allowed to vote in Canada today.
On the other hand, Democrats should take the opportunity to drive north of the border and vote there. No lines - gone will be the complaints of having to wait to vote. No polling monitors - you can vote as many times as you want. You will be able to come home refreshed with the knowledge that you were able to cast thousands, even tens of thousands of votes for your candidate - and no one will so much as hassle you.
So don't delay. The north beckons. If you are a Democrat, hop in your car, drive north, cross the border, and vote. In fact, so good is this program, there are Republicans who will be more than glad - once they have cast their vote in America, because this special offer is not open to them - to drive you and other voting age (in other words, anyone who can recognize a crayon) members of your family (you will have to make your own arrangements to transport dead people) into Canada to your special polling places. (This offer, however, is only one way - you will have to make your own arrangements to return to America).
Democrats - Canada. That's where your vote should be.
[Good only on November 5, 2002. Not good with any other offer, and may not be exercised by Republicans. Offer applies to any definition of family that may be provided by a card carrying Democrat. For further details, see the back of your Rice Krispies box - they might be there. Certain other restrictions apply. No actual guarantee of voting ability is made or warranted. No ballots will be cast on behalf of the Democrat voter by the Republican. If, in fact, you are a Democrat, and you could not actually vote in Canada, complaints will be taken on November 4, 2002. No Canadians were harmed during the preparation of this offer.]
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
Alexander (R) is pulling further ahead in the Senate race.
The lottery numbers changed dramatically, but the "yes" votes are still less than 50% of total votes cast for governor.
With 4% reporting:
TALENT (R) - 100,130 (50%)
CARNAHAN (D - ILLEGAL) - 97,460 (49%)
MILLAY (L) - 1,015 (1%)
<font color=green)ROMANO (G) - 851 (0%)
Hi! And you're right. All the Pubies I voted for are winning with large margins. The down side is that most of the stupid amendments seem to be passing. Pigs, second hand smoke, what the bozos in Dade want to call themselves, build a house for grandma...sheesh. Imho, the Founders would be rolling over in their graves if they lived here (you too Kalifornia a/k/a cereal box).

Races where party control changed (as of 8:44 PM ET):
Illinois 01 - Republicans gain demoflop seat
New Hampshire Governor - Republicans take state house from demoflops
OTOH - They are projecting Lautenberg to win New Jersey with 0% of the vote counted (yes, not a single vote!)
Lamar Alexander (R) is pretty safe for the Senate. My b-i-l, a Democratic insider, says his sources say Bredesen will win the governor's race.
The lottery? Too many people don't take the time to be really educated and the proponents seemed to have successfully painted opponents as just uptight religious people. If it is defeated, it's probably because not enough people voted on that one, but right now the "yes" votes are in the lead and improving.
Congrats on your new abode! May you and the Misses produce many little Republicans.
May your new home be blessed with health, wealth and joy.

Arkansas to extend voting hours
A judge in Arkansas has ruled that polls must stay open an extra 45 minutes in Pulaski County, which includes the Little Rock area -- a Democratic stronghold. And this after Republican incumbent Tim Hutchinson had pulled ahead in early returns over Democrat Mark Pryor, son of former Sen. Dale Pryor. Mark Pryor had been favored in the latest polls.
Also, Republicans Saxby Chambliss in Georgia and Elizabeth Dole in North Carolina have pulled ahead in early returns from those states.
Say what???!!! How can this be? And why haven't they started counting those votes yet?
I still don't trust Bowles ...... there has been some talk already of lawsuits ....... pfffffttttt!
Our new abode will be a good place to teach them good, Republican hobbies such as hunting and fishing.
